I bought a massage package on Alvarados website for a new customer for 159 dollars for a 90 minute massage. I sent the digital gift card to my gf to use and she booked an appointment. Something went wrong with the appointment information regarding who was receiving the massage. (I guess my own information auto loaded into the patient form) My gf talked to Alvarado though email trying to communicate that the info was accidentally submitted for the appointment. Alvarado said to cancel the appointment and rebook. She rebooked and only a couple weeks after booking got a text message saying Alvarado had to go to Mexico to take care of his mom and that we could either get a refund or rebook when he returned. My gf opted to be refunded and it never happened. We were both very disappointed that this issue couldn’t be resolved at any point up to this time. I figured Alvarado had some personal things going on and I didn’t care to think about it for a while. Many months later, after curiously browsing the email for the gift card I paid for, I realized it was still a valid gift card according to the website and that there were recent reviews of people who were receiving massages again. Awesome, so we can still rebook her massage. So she did and it was confirmed through email. She drove to the new location (on time) waited in the waiting room until 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment, and asked the receptionist. The receptionist said he just rents the unit and didn’t know what was going on. So, no massage. Initially my gf contacted him directly through phone calls and email. There was no response at first. Later in the day he texted her apologizing for the bad communication and that he was still dealing with personal matters in Mexico. He offered to refund us with a big discount on another massage. Thankfully today he did refund us and it is a relief. Thanks Alvarado for coming through at the end.

My experience was really not great today's morning. Pros: * Location * Roberto's attitude Cons: * Seems like intake form "areas to focus on" ignored and instead generic full body massage provide. Felt like no matter what you tell, you would be given the same thing. * Kind of loud music (intake form preference just ignored) * Felt like room was not ventilated * Some nerve on my neck was pressed during massage, so I left with a pain that I did not have. It was pretty terrible since I had a work that day.

The best massage I've ever had. Nacala had such great technique and made me feel totally comfortable and relaxed. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends 🙂
