Chris is awesome had been a while since I had a massage and having the physical demanding field I'm in for work I definitely needed one. Felt great after! And he's funny and easy to talk to. Felt like hanging out with one of my buddies. I'll be coming back and highly recommend!

Chris is great! I’ve tried many other massage therapists around the area and he’s the best at really working out my aches and knots and knowing exactly where to focus without even being told. Had my first massage at Amma-Shiatsu last night. This wasn't my first massage but it had been awhile since I had had one and never a Shiatsu massage. I had read various reviews and was a bit nervous. Christopher put me at ease right away. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and he listened to what I wanted to focus on in the massage. Today, I am a bit sore, but it is a good sore. My knees and joints feel better than they have in months. I am going to go back because Christopher is excellent!

I can't say enough about Chris. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a "soft circulation increasing" - Swedish or you're looking for the "fix me Chris" - extra deep tissue. Chris has the full range of massages available. Chris has been my massage therapist for about fifteen years, when he's not available, if say I've seen about 30 massage therapists around DM. Chris is the only massage therapist I recommend for the Des Moines metro.

I’ve tried close to 20 different massage therapists over the past few years, and Chris is the best. I recommend him to anyone looking for a good, real massage. He really knows what he is doing, and I haven’t had better results from anyone else.

Christopher has been my exclusive massage therapist in Ames for the last 20 years. He focuses on my needs--which right now is massaging my hands. I garden and my hands take a beating between hoeing and pulling weeds. If Christopher is using too little or too much pressure (almost never happens), you only have to mention it. If you want to talk, Christopher will talk. If you want silence, he's good with that, too. This spring was hell without Christopher--between sitting in front of a computer and gardening, I could feel his absence. Right now, we both wear masks. This COVID-19 thing is getting old, but we're all really careful. Christopher is meticulous at cleanliness--clean linens and he washes his hands thoroughly before and after the massage. Christopher has had a lot of training and he really loves what he's doing. I have always felt so much better after his massage. Before my Dad passed away in 2005, Christopher gave him massage, too, and my Dad loved it. I know you'll like his bodywork.
