I guess I'm biased being I'm the sole bartender that has run the speakeasy less a single day off in the last 4 years. I strive to provide the utmost quality, accuracy, & consistency. The speakeasy is constantly packed due to the quality of both service and, of course, the cocktails we offer. People are overwhelmed typically as the menu has over 200 drinks. I see complaints about not getting in and / or having to wait... Scarcity creates value as I don't see any other bar in ocala with this many specialty cocktails. Furthermore, good things are worth waiting for. In the future, please approach any of the staff with a complaint so that we may address and/ or help to correct the issue at hand. You see, also, these complaints are typically made by folks under the influence, I guess that is par for the course being in the bar business. Hope to see ya'll upstairs. Wink!

Honestly, this is a pretty sad review to write as my friends and I usually love to go to this speakeasy. Yes the drinks are good, no one is denying that Matt. But that does not excuse you and your rude staff. My friends and I decided to go to the speakeasy for a friends birthday last Saturday. Upon entry, we are aware there is usually someone at the door to greet you and ask for the password which we were prepared to give. We knocked on the door outside twice, and no one came. We decided to open the door anyways and there was no one standing at the bottom of the staircase, nor at the top of the staircase. We figured it was okay for us to enter. Once we entered we immediately got dirty looks from the 2 men who were running the floor, and heard the "sole" bartender say "I hope they know they're not getting served any time soon". Followed by a man on the floor saying "can't they see there's no room for them" None of this was said directly to us, instead as paying customers that's what we heard them saying as we entered the establishment. I don't care how good your drinks are or how "cool" your speakeasy is. People care about being respected and treated fairly. Obviously, after these insanely rude remarks were made, we decided to leave. I explained how unprofessional and ugly they were to us to the man that was "supposed" to be running the door and he had nothing to say. We will not be returning. You people act like you're the only speakeasy in Florida and people are dying to go here. You should care more about the way your staff treats its customers instead of writing a review on your own establishment and being ignorant about it. Do better.

Very impressive drink menu and great drinks!! We stumbled upon this place just walking around downtown Ocala and fortunately they had room for us (we knocked on marked door along Broadway). We had the s'mores martini and smoked old fashioned, both of which were fantastic!! Ambiance was a true speakeasy feel! Check the Facebook page for the passcode...

Fantastic experience. My wife and I did not know what to expect but what a pleasant surprise. From the Knocking on the false bookcase and giving a password to enter to the incredible ambiance of the bar and seating area. The place has soft lighting and a very laid back atmosphere. Don't know what made it smell so good inside but keep doing it. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I can highly recommend a visit. It's not loud , the music is low and soft enough there is no struggle to speak with your guest or in my case my wife. There are some stairs to climb so keep that in mind if you have a mobility issue. Again a great time spent and a great surprise to find here in Ocala.

This speakeasy has the best cocktails and servers! The bartender, G, is fantastic and makes you feel very welcome. Overall great environment, nice ‘n strong drinks, and awesome place!

If you want an upscale, elegant, relaxed place to either start your night or wind down, this is the place for you. G offers the best service and Matt’s conversation is *almost* as great as the craft cocktails he’ll prepare for you at the bar. Make sure you ask him about his desert drinks!

This is such a great speakeasy! Hidden behind a book case at the lodge. This has a traditional speak easy feel. If you can’t decide, the bartenders will ask you what you like and make you a custom drink. The drinks are average prices for a hidden speakeasy and it’s totally worth it. I cannot recommend the Anti-Monopoly Drug Store enough.
