Sydney was fantastic. She recommended some great dishes for us to try. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy! I don't think we've seen a pork tenderloin that size! Great bar type atmosphere with pool tables and other fun activities. Will be back to try the steak nachos

Even though I had heard about Asher's for quite some time this was actually my first time going. I really love the atmosphere and the decorations that they had up, it really made you feel at home in a way. We shared the cheese curds to start, they were served with ranch and were pretty tasty. I tried the barbecue pulled pork sandwich and french fries. They were quite good, I asked for a little bit extra barbecue but the meat was nice and tender and the fries were perfect. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich, he enjoyed his as well. The service was great and it wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon. We will definitely be returning to try something new on the menu!

Great place great employees great ambiance! In my humble opinion the best eatery in Pekin. Have had this place at least 5 times and personally is difficult for me to order anything but the tenderloin but have witnessed many menu items from my dining companions. This place is truly a work of art when it comes to dining. And as an added incentive to try this place they have an extensive top shelf stock in their bar.

I have to say that tonight was not up to par for this place. They were very short staffed on a Friday night. Took at least 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge that we had not been waited on. We both got our usual huge tenderloin because we like the fact that we can eat it's leftovers for 3 days.....not tonight. My record size tenderloin was not even half the size of normal and was very thin ,my husband's was a little larger and was very thick. We usually each get the record size tenderloin and each of us would bring a container home of leftovers....this time all the leftovers fit in one box. I said something to our waitress and just wanted to verify that I had gotten the big one. She said yes and that they were trying to mess around and try different things with it. I will say it was still good but no way should I have been charged for the big one. Pretty sure will will not be going back.

If you love a Reuben sandwich with fork tender, juicy meat with a kick, head to Asher’s. The sandwich is piled high with meat and has their famous candid bacon sprinkled in along with a generous slice of melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, all served on toasted marbled rye bread. It is a generous sandwich and I ended up taking half home. For the Rueben, a pony tenderloin, a side of their cheesy bacon fries and side of tator tots and a coffee, our bill was $42 with 20% tip. We found on street parking close by but did not see handicapped parking.

This place is mid at best, the food is mid, my tenderloin tasted absolutely nasty, the water is so full of chlorine that you could put it in an algae filled pool and it’d kill all the algae instantly. My friend got charged 15$ for a lunch special that was supposed to be 9$, the fries are the only good part about the place, but still mid. I would never recommend coming here even if it was the last place for grub on the planet.

Stopped here for lunch and tried the Asher Bombs for an appetizer and the tenderloin pony shoe for the main. Holy smokes! Delicious!! The white cheddar sauce is amazing. The bombs were delicious!!! I got the spicy bombs but would also be happy to try the regular bombs next time. Tenderloin was huge even though it was just a half tenderloin on the pony shoe, with fries and melted white cheddar on top of all of it. The food was amazing and so was the service, I will definitely be back! I highly recommend the tenderloin, try it! Also lots of burgers on the menu that I’d like to try in the future. Go to Asher’s in Pekin!

So first time going to Ashers, and we were focused on their tenderloins. We got there shortly after they opened on a Sunday and were greeted and seated promptly by a friendly hostess. Our pleasant waitress was quick to get our drinks and take our order. We started with the Haystack onions, they looked wonderful and had great potential, but they were incredibly salty. They could have cut the salt in half and probably been perfect. We each got a half order of the tenderloin. They were good to look at, a tad thinner than I like but certainly doable. They had been cooked perfectly and had a little bit of buttery flavor to them, but that's where the flavor kind of stopped. A little disappointing. They come with hand cut fries, which I'm not typically a fan of, but they were pretty good. We both agreed that we would go back but try something different.
