AWOL Bar

Visited this place and the door service was extremely terrible. Very rude, inconsistent “rules” for different people upon entry and the workers had an attitude. Very disappointing and we won’t be back. UPDATE TO OWNER REPLY: We witnessed some people being asked for ID and others not. In our party several were asked, others were not. And the one’s who were not were not 60+ yrs old where it would be obvious they were over 21. This is a coaching moment for your team - they need to be consistent and they need to know how to respectfully respond when asked questions.

This place is absolutely amazing! My fiance and I feel so welcome, and enjoy every experience! Shout outs to amazing faces to see…. Vince, Stevie, Debbie, Nathan, Roy, Jason! And more! Such an amazing time, will make this place our forever home bar!

(Disclaimer) There was a man who ordered a quesadilla with no onion instead he received chopped scallions. I spoke with him and asked him about his business at this established and he said that he was a famous writer and reviewer. He had mentioned how they completely ignored his request for no onions. And in front of me spit his food out. Continued to tell me about how he was a famous book writer and experienced reviewer. Shortly after I asked him for his credentials he fled from the establishment. Be careful of the reviews you read. This is a great LGBTQIA BAR. all are welcome. Especially pups. can't speak on the food cause I've never ordered any but as far as everything else goes it is the best gay bar in Columbus. I love very many of them but this one has to be the best of all. Especially the barracks there's always events and they try to keep you cozy. There is also a place to put your coats and jackets and such and it's only a few bucks.

Safe place, and fun! But the music makes it unfun I understand the house music but it seems you play it to keep others out but honestly I’ve been here a few times and it’s all meshing together every single song sounds the same. Some songs that people can sing along too would be nice. The music honestly kills the entire vibe. Its honestly miserable at some points, but most people just put up with it because it’s the only gay bar with a patio and people think isn’t problematic but the music is just terrible.

Awol is one of my new favorite places to go and feel completely safe, free and have a great time. Last night for there glow party, the atmosphere was so much fun. The staff has always treated me so well and I do enjoy there awesome drinks, but I'm a size queen type of guy and they deliver. Michael K offered amazing service and made me feel appreciated. Always look forward to my time there.

I've really enjoyed this bar on Karaoke nights on Thursday. It's been a blast every time I've been!

They won’t let you leave with a bottle of WATER. I mean what are the expectations here? It’s water…that your bar made me pay a ridiculous amount of money for. Get out of here. Please provide ohio revised code section where that is stated.
