Maxine was amazing! I got a 60 min deep tissue massage. She listened to what I wanted and definately delivered. She adjusted perfectly when I told her the pressure was too much. I enjoyed the music selection, it helped me get out of my head and relax. The hot towel on my back was amazing! Her space by the river is beautiful!

Very good deep tissue massage and worked out all my tight knotty spots. I will say though wow it hurt! But I needed it, I feel a lot looser now and my stiff back had improved. The biggest improvement was in my hamstring muscles which no longer hurt so bad when I try to stretch them. I had something going on in my leg where the muscle was just bunched up right in a couple spots and it would cause a lot of pain just to try stretching it. Azalea zen was able to work that area and loosen it. I was very satisfied and plan on returning

First off Maxine location at the Journeys Center for your soul is beautiful. The room felt calming and warm. She asked questions about my needs and what was going on. Talked about massage packages and even bought one. Deep tissue massage for those who need the work. She is determined and detailed to help heal what is creating problems. I do recommend her. Parking in the back and her room location is in through the store entrance. However if you show up early can walk around to the upper part and check in and the front desk will walk you down. Do check out the store as it has load of crystals, tarot decks to book and much more.

I seem to share the same sentiments as Anna's review below. I purchased a groupon as a treat for myself. It disclosed that you need to tell the provider you have the certificate. I let her know what time I would like and she came back with a slot completey different than what I requested. I then told her I could take that time or anytime on the weekend , and her response was I have nothing until May- I will put you on the cancellation list. I then reiterated I would take the slot in May and she ignored the rest of my messages. Very abrubt, not accomadating and unfriendly in my opinion. I did try calling her at this same time, but the calls were not answered. Why are you offering groupons if you have Zero avialbilty, or do you just choose to offer no availbility to groupon customers? Not sure but it was a hassel to then get a refund from Groupon. Thankfully they refunded me, but with her attitude, I was glad I did not get a massage from her.

Just based on the unwelcoming & dry phone call I had while trying to schedule, I decided to cancel my Groupon. Editing to reply: I called at 11:50am yesterday. I wasn’t even sure I had the number correct because whoever answered just said “..hello?”. No greeting or “hi, this is ___”. Then sighed ever so annoyed when I asked to schedule.

Atmosphere is very relaxing. Maxine is awesome, listens to what I need and always addresses my aches, pains and knots.

Extremely hard to make my appointment and she didn't sound like she wanted to set the appointment until I told her it was a gift and my son was getting irate and threatened to give her a bad rating thru groupon. Boy, her attitude changed quick! The massage itself was a very forgettable experience! My young grandkids give more relaxing back rubs!!! Because I can't reply to her rebuttal, #1 it wasn't a month ago. #2 I did NOT leave a TIP! #3 I NEVER told her how good it was, I said thank you and walked out (because I'm not a rude person)! #4 I called more than 4 times before she finally answers and says she's out of town, she'll call me on return. I called 2 more times BEFORE she called me back. I kept calling because my gift coupon was running out of time. And YES, I did leave a message to tell her my son was submitting a review on Groupon and that's when my call was returned within 3 hours! I have NO reason to lie about any of this! It's not my first massage period, but it's my last from there!

I'm never going anywhere else. Maxine does wonders for your posture, knots, and overall well being. She's knowledgeable on so much and helps to advise on ways you can help correct things you might be doing wrong. I reccomend her to everyone I know!
