Bad Monkey Ybor

Spent the afternoon walking around Ybor City and stopped in to have a beer and chat with the bartender. It was on a Monday so the place was empty but it was still a very nice experience. The bar tender was extremely nice and the beer was served ice cold. This place has a cool atmosphere and and even cooler story of hot it started. Be sure to make a stop here on your trip out here

This was a horrible experience all around. To make matters worse- a couple had 2 dogs AT the bar. One was being held and the other was being fed. I can understand outside on the patio but AT the bar? The bartender was casually having a conversation with the couple as if it was a normal. It was completely unsanitary and not normal.

Food is fine. Bartender had a bar full of people watching football and when we asked her to put the sound on for the game she said no and listened to music instead. Not a sports bar - she had a terrible attitude. Really just a bad business move considering you would’ve had plenty people tip you who wanted to watch the game

Fun place! Great location and atmosphere. Good drinks and nice staff. Super fun!

Fun place from what I remember... 🙂 great food, great booze, nice to be in a place that appreciates our Military.

Cool bar, very reasonable drink prices, especially beer and well drinks. Usually crowded which only adds to the great atmosphere. Friendly patrons and staff, and you can be standing having drink with someone in jeans and t-shirt, have someone in shorts and sandals who needed to squeeze by people drinking in tuxedos and bow ties. Like I said, it's just a cool bar. Enjoy.

Bald bartender walked past as I had been standing at the bar for about 5 mins. He walked past me and made no attempt to serve me, finally he decided seemingly to inquire on what I wanted. I deemed his comment as sarcastic and it pissed me off. I first came (was invited) here as a result of my Son’s unit at SOCOM having their meetings and events here. You profess to be military oriented establishment. Being a retired Master Sergeant, been retired 40 years to date, something is amiss with this guy. Was not happy being treated this way. I will be back again to observe his future customer service behavior. He should be censured for sure.

We had a great night before the storm! Darts available, variation of tap beer, great bartenders, yummy burgers.
