The most amazing cocktails and vibe. The bartenders were amazing and spot on with their craft. We ordered a few drinks and 3 of them we went with the roulette where they just make you something off menu. I gave them a spirit selection and they asked fruity or boozy. Each time the cocktail exceeded my expectation. The bartenders were exceptional and such a fun vibe. Would definitely come back if we’re ever in salt lake again. A must!

The best of the best are here!! Annie and Julie are fabulous bartenders. The vibe is super chill - -amber candle-lit and natural light. classic wall of backlit delicious alcohol fronted by a timeless wooden bar. Simple and perfect with perfect music selections you need to come to bar x.

Definitely a great cocktail bar when stopping by in Salt Lake City. Centric and accessible so it was a must for me during a night layover. After reading all the fun comments about this place I immediately rushed there as soon as they opened at 18:00. As a flight attendant, we must take full advantage of our time when visiting cities and often we get to do this things on our own if not accompanied by anyone else from our crew, but going there was the opposite of fun. Music was down, bartender were not chatty and even if going in early, I had a purpose… of enjoying all the things people talked about and have a great cocktail. I started with a gin based cocktail called Moon River. It was great. Well balanced and refreshing (picture #2) Followed by a bar creation under the directions of Roulette as it seemed as the most mysterious item on their menu (picture #1) which was also gin based and had a spectacular flavor that brought memories of eating red grapefruit in the Caribbean. Overall, a good experience with the cocktails, a not so good on the ambiance. Wouldn’t mind going back for a cocktail if I spend the night in the city again.

Great little dive spot with some problems. Unclear if there's sometimes table service but we had to walk to the other side in order to place a food order. That being said, the truffle fries are excellent so get a large order

Bar-X has intrigue. From the music, ambience and amazing staff this incredible historical space delivers. I'll definitely go there again. Update* Went back again! Live music, food from next door, friendly staff and it was remarkable. Especially enjoyed myself magnificently! Definitely a SLC favorite.

Came early on a Saturday. Very chill vibe. Their spirit selection is on point!! My test for any bar is if they can make a decent Manhattan and they killed it. Double rye High West Whiskey. Music could be a bit more varied but not bad (think hip hop chill). Deff worth a stop

Gritty downtown beer hall with amazing brats. You can get them on top of hand cut fries, so what's not to love about that! And there are so many beers on tap, amazing selection. We sat outside, which was fun on a beautiful spring evening, but the patio is tiny, so don't count on a seat. The seating is just as fun inside, and walk-up ordering at the bar means it comes to your table wherever you are sitting.
