Bare Bones Bar & Grill

An Ellicott city mainstay. They have been around for years and the food is why. Consistently delicious. The ribs and bare bones salad are my favorites. Service was a little slow on this visit but she seemed to be spread across a few tables

Customer service was great. The hostess and waitress were fantastic and attentive. However, that's it. The food had good portions but was subpar, lacked flavor, and was overall uninspiring. I didn't finish most of it because it was just bland even with adding salt and by the time I got to the car my stomach felt off and I was slighly nauseated. The prices are a little higher than expected and for the taste and quality I wouldn't return.

Went on thursday for happy hour. Its a Neighborhood bar/restaurant were the locals hangout. When I first walked in to use the restroom you could smell the pipes. Inside the restroom it was much stronger. Which was off putting. I sat at the bar whiich was pretty full. I seen seats available there were napkins on the bar top. I asked were the seats taken a man said very sharply yes. So i proceeded to the other side with friendly older guest.( fyi no one every showed up picture below. I take it that man didnt want me to sit near him) only 1 bartender for a full bar plus she had tovmake drinks for table guest so the wait inbetween getting acknowledged and ordering was very slow. I ordered the ribs with bean and mashed and wings(garlic Buffalo). The ribs are good the sauce sucks. The mash was old and flavorless i had to add the beans in the mash to make it taste decent. The wings I taste no garlic. Overall food is basic bar food definitely taste better if you are intoxicated. Atmosphere isnt very inviting. Maybe for the regulars. But i wont be back also they charge you if you use a credit card

Consistently good food. Excellent crab soup! Bare Bones signature salad and fall off the bone ribs are really good. Been going here for years. Love that they have live music. We went there last night with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the band and a nightcap. The waitstaff is always friendly and competent. MANY Years ago friends gave me a bridal shower in their back room. 7 years ago, the same pals hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Bare Bones. The private party area in the back is neat and large. Very delicious food, good seasoning, not overcooked veggies. Good variety of dishes. Great baby back ribs, caesar salad, and crab cakes. Will be back.

Came here after 9pm on a Tuesday. After 9pm the dining area is closed but they have tables and booths around the bar similar to Outback where you can be seated. We have an 11 and 13 year old and it was fine. Our waiter was extremely friendly and very attentive. The food was pretty good. Old Bay wings were beefy tasty. Fish tacos are very good as well. Not a bad place tho grab a bite.

It was our first time visiting Bare Bones Bar & Grill, and it certainly won't be our last! My husband and I had a delightful experience there. The entire staff was exceptionally warm, friendly, and welcoming, and our server, Sunie, was absolutely phenomenal. Last but not least, the food and drinks were simply amazing!

In restaurant is great - service is well above average, always good quality food, and pleasant atmosphere. I gave 2 stars on carry-out. I've had several orders that were missing an item. Usually it something from a combo order, like sandwich with 2 sides, a side will be missing. Management needs to get on both the kitchen staff and whomever is doing the secondary check making sure the order is correct prior to handing it to the customer.
