the sober guys in our group are denied with no explanation other than “it’s just something about you” BUT when drunk girls walk in it’s free game. There needs to be new staff, other reviews can account for that. We have been going to this bar for a while and this guy is always on a high horse to everyone except drunk girls. half the time he won’t even look at the ID. I pity the people who work with this guy and the poor women who he is probably preying on.

For a Sunday - which is notoriously slow in the service industry - Jacob was attentive, easy going and personable. Though not a specific whiskey bar, the variety available was impressive, and he was knowledgeable in most all of them. We're not locals, and picked the bar at random from the few that were open for a "happy hour" time frame, but we recommend the Black Rabbit Saloon to anyone of any age looking for a great drink in a great location for a great time.

Absolutely the worst bar ever. My friend and I from Ohio wanted to play golden tee. We just flew in that that morning. Went to the bar and where denied access because we were to intoxicated. We had not had a single drink all day. This place needs to hire new staff. Looks like regular adults are not allowed in as numerous intoxicated females where escorted to the bar for free drinks. This was the worst Costomer service ever. We will never be back.

Just stay away from this place! I was removed for simply no reasons and I felt threatened. It was an horrible experience for somebody who just moved to this area and I do not want anybody else to experience this. There are many other great bars in San Marcos to go!

This bar kicked us out cause they thought we were to drunk even though i wasn't drunk and my friend didn't drink at all and the bouncer didn't have a uniform on so we were confused when we were kicked out as well. There phone number is also wrong so you can't even contact the manager

Literally the worst place to go to. I walked in after work, haven’t had a single drink and before I was able to order the bartender said I was too drunk and he was not going to serve me. There was also 10 other people that he kicked out at the same time.

If you love whiskey this is your spot they have lots of room to be social. I see games like skee ball, hoops, and a couple of pool tables. There is two bars a main bar and a back bar its slow right now but I imagine it gets busy. No food just booze beer, wine and did I say whiskey!

I tried coming in here after hanging out with the manager of THC Vape and Smoke next door. Admittedly I had some CBD prior, but the door guy told me I looked intoxicated and wouldn't let me in, even just to sit down and drink some soda before heading home. When I thought I had lost my photo ID, I came back and waved through the door with my wallet, when I opened the door and was about to ask if they had my ID, I got cursed out and was told to close the door. There were still patrons at the bar. The rest of the night I was an anxious mess. Even though I moved in November and still have my California ID, I've never been rejected from any Texas bars or told I was intoxicated prior. To double check my sanity, I went over to The Vault to ask if this was normal bouncer behavior, they said it wasn't. Good news is I took an Uber home to be safe, found my ID tucked away in a random slot on my wallet, and picked up my car the next morning. Walking past the bar, I felt very uncomfortable. Needless to say I won't be back, as I'm not welcomed there. This wasn't my first time here either, I've been inside to play Skeeball and Pong during the late afternoon / early evening. They also once asked me to check in my bag, to which I decided not to go inside because it had expensive computer equipment I didn't want to leave out of sight. TLDR: You likely won't feel welcomed here. I try to avoid using the word gaslit, but I felt that way with the doorman. I'm a sensitive guy who would never cause a scene at a bar.
