I can't speak to the food situation because I only ate here during the Ryley pop-up - hence the three stars for food. When I came during the Ryley pop-up, the food was good. Otherwise, it's a really solid neighborhood bar. Great wine list. Well-made cocktails (had one of the best old fashioneds I've had in Portland here). The bartenders/owners are really friendly and knowledgable. It's not pretentious. Just a great experience overall and I always have a good time.

Good beer, good vibes during the last Thursday street festival. Lots of outdoor seating. The wine flight is worth the money.

This is a true gem with fascinating ownership and a great vibe. Their knowledge and interest in wine is really a wonder and makes this a must-visit spot.

The name might sound a little fancy, but don’t let that fool you. This is a neighborhood bar with all the charm of your favorite dive, but with 1,000x more class. They have a wine selection that will make you blush, and their cocktails are superb without being pretentious. Bonne Chance is the type of place you say you’re stopping in for one final final, but you end up staying till close because you’ve made friends for a lifetime… or at least tonight. Whether you’re the type to sit at the bar top and chat, or you’re wanting to cozy up in the corner with a date - you’ll find the seating is ample, and welcoming. Probably one of the most under appreciated neighborhood bars in Portland. Great people with serious chops. Mark is a master behind the bar and James is so full of wine knowledge (and an amazing selection of wines ) he should be purple. These two brothers are full of talent and genuinely great personalities you will kick yourself for not coming in sooner. Keep an eye out for guest chefs Thursday-Saturdays putting out some seriously amazing food. All of this comes at a refreshingly honest price, do yourself a favor and head there tonight.
