Buckeye Bourbon House

Absolutely loved the whiskey selection and custom cocktails on the menu. The aesthetics of being inside an old bank with high vaulted ceilings made it so there could be quite a few people there but it never felt too loud to have a conversation. Comfy seating and bar games contributed to the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely loved it. Food was great and priced attractively. Looking forward to another visit.

Excellent excellent service here! The food was FREAKING AWESOME and drinks were nothing short of amazing. The staff was so polite and accommodating and knowledgeable. Very nice spot to grab a bite to eat and a drink to sip. The ambiance was perfect with the sky high ceilings, dope music cuts and great bourbon selection. The seating was properly set up for social distancing and there were more comfortable options than just the bar. Major props to Lanessa and the staff here at Buckeye Bourbon House!

Great service, great food. Take out is the same quality as eating in and that's saying something.. My daughter especially enjoyed the black bean sliders since she is vegan. The lobster Mac and Cheese has real chunks of actual lobster, so creamy and cheesy. The crabcakes had a load of veggies in them and were quite tasty as well. Salad had a nice mix of quality greens meaning it wasn't iceberg lettuce. The bread pudding is cut in wedges, I didn't care for the look, but the taste with the hot caramel sauce was excellent. The pricing is high but so is the quality and portion sizes. Highly recommend. Drinks were on point and the water filtered.

Some of the worse service I’ve ever had. After 20 minutes of sitting we had to move to the bar to order. Even the. We felt like an inconvenience for the bar staff. They never served us at the table and made us order from the bar. Our artichoke dip came out 2 minutes before the food and stank like a dirty microwave. This place is a shame. Honestly McDonald’s and Carl’s Jr has better food. All burger are precooked to well done Staff is not friendly or inviting The ambiance is overshadowed by terrible service. Look at a new GM not employees.

In town for a conference and we decided to check this place out. Wow! So glad we did. I don’t love the name, (being from Michigan lol) but the bourbon selection was top notch. To have multiple bottles of hard to find labels like Weller behind the bar was great. Knowledgable bartenders who asked questions about what we liked. And he recommended the meatballs as a snack while we were sipping, and that was a great choice. The building was cool and historical. Would love to come back!

Can’t get enough of this place. From the incredibly insightful staff to the vast selection of drinks - always an adventure. If you are someone who enjoys finding the next great bourbon for your collection - go here. If you are someone who knows nothing about bourbons or other spirits - go here. You’ll leave finding a new favourite. Also their cocktails are incredible too. Added bonus is their brunch burger and oh my stars. Would go back just for that. Treat yourself and cozy up at the bar and the conversation and knowledge you’ll gain is worth your time.

Great atmosphere, food, and service. Be prepared to spend some money, it’s not cheap but is worth it. The cocktail list is creative and unique. The interior is amazing and is a good usage of an older building.

Had a great time with a friend at Buckeye Bourbon House, enjoying the drinks and food. Attached to the hotel, but has it's own space and vibe. Street parking was tight, but there's a lot at NE Corner of Gay and 3rd. Over 200 bourbons available, and really helpful bartenders. They'd run out of one we wanted to try, but "Adam" was very helpful in finding an alternative and providing a taste test. Didn't go deep into the menu, just enjoying the flatbreads which came out quickly and were generously portioned. I agree with a previous reviewer that it has a library feel - low key and comfortable. If you're into bourbons and whiskeys, I recommend!
