Great local dive bar recommended by several people. Great selection of beers and cocktails. Jell-O shots! Good prices. Not sure about the water cups in the bathroom. Bartender was great.

I’ve been coming to this bar for a while. I just moved here from Seattle and the bartenders are hands down the best service I’ve had in this town. Lexi is always checking in on me making sure I’m doing okay and is always attentive to not only myself but everyone in the bar. I’ve come in on week days and weekends and I get the same service from all the bartenders. I really love the way they are so welcoming and just personable to everyone. It’s definitely an establishment I recommend to anyone that asks me where do they go to feel welcomed and a place that they can relax and not worry about people getting upset if you just want a night out! Will always come here and always recommend this bar to anyone I know

Great bar! Always try and stop by when I’m in Boise. Had a corn hole tournament going on while we were there which was a bonus. Good crowd of people every time I’ve been there, great place to meet people if you’re not from the area. Cash only too so you can keep slight better track of how much you’ve drunk, ha!

We love going to Cactus. Such a fun environment, the owners are awesome and the staff is amazing. Make sure to go on the first and Thursday every month for Bingo. A great time and you can win amazing prizes!

A must stop by if you are in downtown Boise. Plenty of history in the establishment and modern improvements Back patio are is a cool spot to be with. Cold beer on a warm summer day

Dive Bar. Through and through. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service, and most important of all... Great drinks. Also full of history. As the oldest bar in Boise they embrace it and their bar is covered in old photos depicting the growth of Boise.

This is not a review against the establishment, only against 1 particular employee of the bar. I went in, not very frequent, as typical on a Saturday night when nothing else to do in Boise, and through out the 7+ years, I have never had an issue. In fact, it is one of my favorite bars, but there was 1 individual — curly hair, bigger women, with big eyes, working Saturday Sep 7 2024, at around 11:00pm, and I was apprehensively not served for “not tipping enough.” A typical night out, I would tip 2-3$, this one individual expected 5+$ on a 6$ drink. In this economy, I think any business coming your way is appreciated, but this girl took it too far. Until she is gone, I won’t be attending. Please be more attentive of the people you hire. I was not the only one, it happened to 4 of my other friends.

Cactus is my favorite bar, the bartenders have always taken amazing care of me. We recently discovered bingo night and we haven’t missed one since, we love cactus
