Came to Napa for a girls trip and wanted to try something different other than a steakhouse or winery. We decided to pop into Chispa - great atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing. We sat at the bar and were waited on by the bartender. He was very short and not welcoming. I excused it thinking maybe he was just not having a good day. But as we stayed a bit longer , we were never checked on and had to reach out to ask him for additional service. The food was yummy but the drinks we ordered were subpar. We even noticed another patron that was dining in the bar area did not seem happy with the service and tossed back her drink and left quickly. We were going to stay for full service dining but after that experience we decided to go somewhere else in downtown Napa. Again, it wasn’t the restaurant as a whole more so the service we received from this individual. Oysters were great!

I happened on Chispa by accident + I loved it! My waitress was super lovely and helpful with the menu, a lot of the menu is sharing so she recommended what was suitable for a solo diner. I had the ceviche and the fish tacos and both of them were really yummy, especially the taro chips which accompanied the ceviche - they should be sold by the bag!! My server was super super lovely and I even got a list of recommendations from her for the area

Had fantastic martini’s before dinner. The bartender was so fantastic! She shared some local-ish must see places and we took her recommendations and we were not disappointed! Very classy atmosphere with great cocktails! Worth a stop.

If you’re looking for a vibrant spot with top-tier drinks and surprisingly stellar food, this tequila bar is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to stay for “just one more” and already be planning your next visit.

Great addition to Napa's Downtown restaurant and bar scene, Cadet’s proprietors have opened this second business venture, Chispa, focused on Tequila and seafood. When we say in Spanish that this person has chispa, we mean they have something special that makes them shine on their own and attract people toward them because of that something beautiful. Great name 🙂

Mediocre overpriced small plates. The mushroom dish was cold, undercooked and lacked flavor. The rice dish was not at all what was described in the menu and came out like a brown mushy risotto - again, zero flavor. The guacamole was beautifully presented, but had no flavor. The wine was good though. Nice interior.

I do enjoy the atmosphere. The cocktails are good. The food is flavorful. Small bites.

Relatively new to Napa, Chispa arrives on the scene adding a Tequila snarl with a savvy touch of vibe, chill, and elevation. An excellent experience that makes the grapes take note.
