Went for the first time last Friday for newbie night and had a blast. The environment is so comfortable and welcoming. Everyone was so respectful and kind. It's so refreshing to be out and in a bar where it's not weird to stare or be stared at. I love going out but would much rather come here and spend the same money as if I was out all night at a normal bar. Even met the owner! He was so kind and it was nice to see the owner of an establishment mingling with the patrons. It shows care

The staff did a great job as making my wife and i comfortable on our first visit On newbie night. It was a surprise for my wife and they had one of the most memorable nights of they're life. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, the people were respectful and kind. It was an experience to remember for sure! Will definitely be returning!

So, somewhere out there is a review by someone I presume is transgender, who detailed a very negative experience here. I went last weekend, you know, for the lulz, and found the opposite. It’s important to consider I’m like, 6’3” in flats, and “built like a linebacker”, as someone once told me…pretty sure everyone knows I’m trans. Granted, I didn’t go looking to meet anyone, so not being approached wasn’t a source of disappointment. However, the few people I casually spoke to - at the bar, asking to borrow a seat, whatever - were very polite and engaging. In my experience, the values espoused by management and staff generally match those of the people frequenting any establishment. Again, I did not go here thinking I would meet anyone, and I am not trying to diminish anyone’s negative experiences. I’m just saying, everybody was nice to me.

Best place for a first time experience. Workers/volunteers were so friendly, accepting, andnon judgemental. We felt very taken care of. The place is very safe and they are very firm about the rules which keeps us all protected. The environment is very clean. People were friendly. Thursday night is a nice quiet night while Friday was packed! We even got free alcoholic drinks for the first night. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

My partner and I have came to this club before a few times. We live at the coast and it takes us over two hours to get there and then 2 more back home. This particular night and how your staff has responded or lack of we will not be returning and I hope after reading this someone does something. Friday night we paid for our tickets and went outside for a quick smoke break and headed back in around 10. We walked straight through the bottom floor and up the stairs to the second. Now it was packed and loud but where I was standing there was still plenty of room around me. I stood stationed next to my partner while we watched all the beautiful people around us enjoying their time. In just a few seconds later all of that changed. A man in a gray polo or greasy hair who was there alone very obviously slid his hand palm up across my butt to which (again like I said on your website in my review if) if you saw video tape you would see how quickly I jumped and recoiled. As a SA victim I’ve had a hard enough time trusting establishments such as this but I never felt unsafe here before. My partner immediately told the employee who was a few steps from us and whisked me into a room to which I unfolded and collapsed a crying mess because someone who did not have my consent very obviously felt me up. After a few minutes I was able to calm down enough but knew I couldn’t stay. I had intended to go downstairs and have a drink to see if I would be ok since not even 20 minutes prior we paid $90 plus another $20 to park not to mention the long drive. And the SECOND we opened that door the man who assaulted me was standing right outside which threw me back into a panic. My partner waiting until he was out of sight and we took off downstairs and out the front door not speaking to anyone else. I’ve never been so disgusted with someone’s lack of empathy and respect. In such a positive safe environment you allowed a young female to be assaulted and groped by some old man and did nothing to fix the situation. I will never forgive you I will tell everyone we know. We will let everyone at The Velvet Rope know so they can warn their patrons to not come to your establishment. I guess with how much money you make off single men coming in it makes a lot of sense you let him stay. In my first time messaging you I said I kept my silence for so long in my past when I was assaulted I couldn’t keep quiet this time. I’m disgusted with you.

Absolutely a blast . Wife and I went for first time last weekend. The staff was great! Every one we spoke to was fun and friendly. Highly recommend if you want a great experience to visit

Discrete. Smoking outside. Nice atmosphere. Lots of space. Multiple levels. Clean. Coming from Chicago we were greeted like we were regulars! Nice atmosphere.

My wife and I joined this club as new members July of 2023. We have been to at least 10 events in the last 6 months and loved every night spent there. The owners are super friendly as well staff and bartenders. We have made many amazing friends already and plan on becoming VIP Members this year.
