Best crowd for an open mic ever and great sound. Beloved place that reminds me of how Seattle kind of was when I moved here. Veey welcoming to a diverse crowd, too. No pretense place with exceptional bartenders and an owner that cares. I met him drinking a beer on the patio and youd never guess he owns this historic gem of a bar and music venue. Stop by and leave the ba at the door. See a band, this is one of the few places you can see legit local, real Seattle music anymore.

This place has depth! The musicians that show up here are talented expressive males and females. These young professionals showcase the original reason we all begged our parents, and our siblings. That was, "to get a ticket"! To the best times a teenager could have growing up! Going to a "ROCK" concert, man!! Each time that l have frequented Darrell's Every band that play's has there own individual musical talents that l warn you to be prepared for a good time! I would also be a real douche, if l didn't say something about the staff that makes Darrell's tavern one of the best food beverage and service..places in Shoreline wa Top shelf. One more thing! The tavern pizza that l order every time l stop in. l don't know how these rocker chicks that run the place do it, but...the flavor of these mini pizza pies tastes exactly like the tavern pizza l grew up enjoying in a small town in eastern wa. Far out man!

We were there yesterday to watch a friend play, the band is called the morning watch! I have some samples of the show in the videos! I was so surprised that they had a stout on tap! I was so happy! We drank a couple of them and it was so delicious! Bartender was fast and great, knowledgeable and gives options! Lots of sitting (come early) and standing room to enjoy the music! It was a really great time last night. The bus from downtown was a treat to the destination! Will come again!!!

As far as dive bars go, Darrell's Tavern is one of the best! Stiff drinks, cold beers, awesome pizzas, and tacos on Tuesday. The staff is friendly but will not put up with any guff from patrons, unless they know you well. Dan the owner is a wonderful person. The live music is loud and proud so bring yourself some ear plugs. They have an outdoor seating area for those who smoke, and that's always a pleasure, it's even heated in the winter.

What can you say about this American institution? Some of the best live punk and alt music in the country. Darrell’s is a survivor and a thriver. It’s been serving the community ear candy for decades and has thankfully dogged the wrecking ball so far. With a full bar and a pool table, what more do you need?

Great old school style bar, love the staff and the atmosphere. They play pretty good tunes too. Delicious personal pizzas only $10!!!

Popped in for a drink and caught Sunday night jazz. Great vibe, friendly bartender and a wonderful authentic local hangout. Sometimes luck is truly great.

It's not a terrible place. But it's for an older crowd for sure. Smells of old stale smoke and dust.. Service is fine. Mostly beer. And its just very quirky / tacky inside. Good for a chuckle and some live bands. Would not come here for anything but that.
