Fun little place. Bartender staff was awesome. Good sounding venue. Pizza was OK, but basically, bar pizza for when hungry. The staff was nice. Area is a little tough. Just be careful of your surroundings, and you'll be alright.

Staff were confrontational and seemed racist. I witnessed staff needlessly aggressing people (mostly women) both inside and outside. Drinks were extremely expensive, so I recommend drinking before you go in. If you’re a woman, come with someone who can keep you safe because the staff probably won’t. They don’t seem to do much to keep underage girls out of the venue. If you are looking for a kinder, safer, less expensive goth club in SF, there are other great options that play more authentic music.

Great place tickets aren’t very expensive the staff was very nice. The only thing I have to say bad about the dna lounge is the price of the alcohol 2 jeager bombs we’re $40 and about $15 for a Coca Cola in a red solo cup a little outrageous if you ask me but other than the price of the alcohol I can’t complain definitely going back just drinking before I go in next time

I go here every Monday night for the Hubba Hubba Revue show upstairs that then lets out into the gothy Deathguild event in the main room. The show is always fun (and affordable!), the people and community are great (and not super crowded), and it's a fun, low-pressure experience that you can't get anywhere else in the bay area.

Excellent venue Pros big lay out lots of rooms and places to watch the show many options. Huge variety of music and events Bands, DJs, huge acts, burlesque they have offerings for every taste. Food there's a pizza joint connected with a good variety of food and snacks. CONS STAIRS there's some very steep stairs on both sides of the main stage. As well as the main entrance of the second venue. Makes it difficult to navigate in big crowds or if you're differently able. Harm reduction they used to have a large harm reduction presence. Not any more. Many events are all ages so it was a huge comfort to have harm reduction available. Especially at EDM events.

The venue was decent but somewhat small… alright for crowds of 100 or less. Didn’t get to try the pizza but I heard it was good. All of the staff was really nice except for the manager or owner. I was put on the guest list and I have been going to a lot of the shows and working at them with a lot of these guys since about 2006. I was told I could put my backpack in the room the headliners were keeping their stuff as well as hanging out. I was in the process of switching hotels and wound up going to the show last minute after I was told I was confirmed. Went out to get sandwiches for myself and a friend, after I got back I was told the owner started freaking out about a backpack being in a corner when it realistically wasn’t in anybody’s way. It was also sad that someone wound up losing their backpack that night… So I put it next to a garbage can by the merch table since I’ve been to dozens of these shows with these people and I know I can trust them. Later on in the night the guy who was in charge was just trying to rush everybody out of the door when nobody was even close to being completely packed up. He actually watch the artists out of the venue when we were still out there and was extremely rude. He killed the whole entire vibe and Manny other people would have handled that situation a lot differently… All of us remained polite and in character though. As a booking agent I would not recommend using this venue as a rental if you could find another spot unless their management improves. Other than that, it was a pretty cool spot… The bartender was cool and so was all of the security. Management… Who was only one guy, was extremely unpleasant to deal with and a complete buzz killer.

My first experience at DNA was the So Stoked pride. And it did not disappoint. My second was normal so stoked and the vibe was much more chill but never missed a beat for music or drinks or food. The coat check person was super accommodating, and the drinks are delicious. And that's before you get your hands on some of the pizza! All around excellent venue.

I'm from Boston and went to a nightclub to have fun and spend my money. I bought a drink for a girl who was inside the bar. Unfortunately, the staff approached me and asked me to leave because I bought a drink for her while she was in the nightclub. This situation is ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place. There are many other nightclubs around that respect their customers."
