Went today for the first time. The staff were not rude as per other reviews, I would say they are very matter of fact or very New York. I was charged $43 (temp 5 day membership $15 and $28 room hire) which had to be paid in cash. The guy before me was told he was allowed to stay for 4hours. The place was very clean everywhere I went in the public areas. I got a room and that too was very clean. Unlike other saunas, ESC has no gloryholes, darkroom, play area or jucuzzi. It’s just rooms, a dry sauna, steam room and a small video/porn room and showers. The clientele was on the older side while I was there and it was not busy at all for it being a sauna in New York which I found a bit sad. While I did not have a negative experience I would probably not return again.

I went to visit for the first time today and end it up disappointed. 1. The staff is very rude, it’s sad because at first glance you don’t see it but later on you start noticing the attitudes and conducing themselves in an angry matter. 2. Please have cash, there’s no credit card payment or cards allowed. 3. Bring your own flip flop, it’s strange they don’t have some available. 4. Keep in mind this place if frequented mostly by older adults. If that motivates you great! 5. Some are very forward into touching without consent. 6. It’s sad this place looks terrible considering it’s in New York City one of the gay capitals of the world. This place it’s embarrassing. Sorry for my review but I’m just being honest. Also the comment below it’s not true. I’m young bateen 25 to 35 and they didn’t care if I was welcomed or not.

I had a great time at this place the staff was very helpful. The crowd varied in ages but all the guys were very friendly and hot. One of the guys there gave me a hand washing in the showers and it felt really nice. I recommend this place to everyone and am definitely going back!

It was absolutely wonderful. I was the center of attention for a change and a couple of the guys really was interested in getting to know me personally and private. I love this place! This staff was a delight like the last time I was there.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Customer service sucks big time! The guy upfront is rude and has a nasty attitude. The guys that change the sheets think they are the last Cola Cola of the desert. They are nothing but a bunch of cocky and rude divas. This place is a joke!

If I m the owner, it will be much better. First fire the front desk. Second turn down the lights and so on

Was thinking of going but have been steam works in Chicago and San Francisco.... this is too expensive for what you get. I don't believe the positive reviews either... dry sauna and steam rooms too small, no porn in private rooms, no jacuzzi, no glory holes, etc

I don’t believe these reviews. I almost didn’t go to this spot because of them and it was a great experience. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 12 and it was pretty quiet. Crowd came around 4pm and really picked up from then on. Entry fee was $44. Staff was very polite. Place is very clean and enjoyed chatting with several people there.
