Went to the Goth Karaoke event for the first time, and the woman checking us in was horribly rude. We asked a simple question and she was sarcastic and mean. Every time we walked passed her to go in and out, she scowled at us like we didn't belong there. The rest of the staff wasn't much better. We arrived practically when the venue opened at 9pm, and when we went to sign up to sing, they told us we wouldn't be on until midnight. We were stunned because the place wasn't that packed yet. Apparently they allow their regulars to go up multiple times before they let new people go up once. We waited for the chance to sing because not many karaoke venues offer alternative songs. After waiting for 3 hours we were informed our songs weren't even an option. Apparently "goth karaoke" means pop punk and Taylor Swift, the same garbage that's at every other karaoke venue. Thanks for the huge waste of time! We won't be back!

I love it here and everyone else on staff has been wonderful but the person with bangs at the front desk is always so needlessly rude to the point of being awful to interact with. Genuinely made my friend cry and had me reconsidering whether or not I should ever go back. We were nothing but nice to her and she treated us like garbage. Idk if it’s because our group was mostly POC but she needs to get fired.

I love the late nights at Fallout! I’ve been going so long that it is my home away from home.

A Queer Richmond Institution! If you love dancing, strong drinks, and an ambience befitting a fallout shelter, you'll feel right at home here. Check out their social calendar online for specific events.

Saw Demeiser perform and they were amazing! The kitchen has the BEST fried pickles I've ever had in my entire life!

I've only been here twice, both times good, but this time especially. I had been having a great time in a cute outfit when a drunk dude at the bar decided he needed to be all up on me saying nasty things in my ear and I was trying to be polite, close my tab and just get out because I didn't know him and he was making me feel unsafe. The bartender turned around, saw him pressed against me, saw I was uncomfortable, and IMMEDIATELY called him out. I didn't even have to say anything. Just one second of eye contact and she was there to help. She didn't back down until he left me alone and once he backed off, she asked if I was ok, if she wanted her to kick him out, and if I wanted someone to walk me to my car and I felt protected. I was so nervous and shaken that I felt almost frozen, but in those moments, I felt safe. I can not thank her enough.
