I am a social worker and ESL teacher and who works with refugees and political asylees who are victims of political and gender based violence from Africa and Afghanistan and I moved into an apartment down the street a few days ago. Stopped by for a beer to learn more about the area. I asked a few simple questions about the history of the neighborhood but was treated so rudely that I walked right out and went home.

Small town bar with a very small selection of drinks. They have jam sessions on Wednesdays though so if you play an instrument or just want to listen it's a good spot.

Love the live jam sessions on Tuesdays. This is definitely a locals hang out, but it feels like a real rural New England experience and everyone we encountered was friendly. Cheap decent tap list. I agree with another poster, that the philly steak sandwich is pretty tasty 🙂
