Flat Iron Tap

I recently visited the Flat Iron Tap at 150 Center St #2007, in Lake Geneva, WI. A real nice bar with a great look inside. My server suggested the sweet and spicy clacker sandwich. It came out timely and was very tasty. A good choice. A good variety of beer as well. It's a place I would definitely go back to. The only issue is the parking and everywhere in the city is metered. Nothing to do with Flat Iron. Just venting.

Small little bar with good but not great food. Then when I say small, I mean small. Fills up quick and very close to your neighbors but overall good atmosphere. The cheese curds are probably the best in lake Geneva. But disappointed but our burgers. The patties were relatively unseasoned and dry, a little past medium tbh.. and for almost $20 for a burger is disappointing. The fries were very good too. Not enough waitresses or waiters to check in regularly.

Would not have never even know this place was here l but, Rita our Ghost tour guide recommend and she did not disappoint. Amazing beer selection on tap, cheese curds were the best I had ever (homemade ranch ), smoked wings were amazing, and I got the John Daly burger. Food was top notch. Coming from a Chicago kid, this doesn’t happen often.

Decided to give this place a try after seeing the reviews. We were seated pretty quickly and what later turned out just in time as this place got super busy and turned to more than an hour wait. The ambiance was great, with Halloween decor, music and TV screens, and a lively bar. The burgers somewhat disappoint. They were somewhat dry and bland. Sides, fries and chips, were very good though. Beer as well.

If your looking for a fancy place to eat or drink this is not the place. This a bar with great food, good prices, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. We loved it. The night before we ate where the price of a hamburger was $22.00. Here the burger was $15.00 and just as good. It also had a great selection of beer and fancy drinks which the other restaurant did not have.

It's unfortunate that great burgers are paired with poor service and disappointing sides. The hostess told us that we were seated after another party that arrived after us "because they have a dog." The dog apparently meant that they got to skip ahead of us and 3 other parties. When we sat down, we waited 15 minutes before being greeted by our waiter, and another hour before we received our food. The cheese curds were far too large and undercooked. The burger temperatures were way off of what was ordered, the buns were burnt, and the fries lukewarm and tasteless. The waitress was pleasant. The taste of the burger was pretty good. But everything else was very disappointing.

Cheese curds were great, my Moscow mule was also great, and my wife says her burger was delicious (she had the van helsing). As you can see from the photo, I had the salmon with the veggies, I was not a huge fan of the salmon, I felt it was a bit dry. However, the veggies that came along (potatoes, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts) were delicious!

Such a vibe here. Definitely worth it to stop in, grab a drink, and enjoy the company of friends & music! Food was delicious, the drinks were my favorite part. Shout out to Mark for his great service and kindness!
