I recently visited George’s Place and was shocked by the hostile atmosphere and harassment from the staff and patrons. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I expect a safe and welcoming space, but this bar fell far short. The bartenders were dismissive and rude, and the crowd was aggressive and disrespectful. I witnessed harassment and discrimination towards several patrons, including myself. The management seemed uninterested in addressing these issues, creating a toxic environment that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend George’s Place to anyone seeking a positive and inclusive experience. Instead, I suggest exploring other LGBTQ+ friendly establishments that prioritize respect, inclusivity, and a safe space for all. Remember, you don't deserve to be harassed or defamed.

Been here so many times before. I guess a lot has changed. Sat at the bar for 30 min with no service then arched two people who just walked up call to the bartender and get served. I’m out. Enjoy.

I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences at George’s Place. The people here are so welcoming and friendly and the bartenders are extremely accommodating. Everybody feels welcome!

Didn't know it was a gay bar when I went in........nevertheless everyone was friendly and down to earth. Great environment, great crowd, and great bartenders never an empty bottle if you don't want 1. The bartenders were on point, and everyone was super friendly.

Friend was pulled out his chair by another patron, then tossed out because quote “they (other patron) have been drinking here all day”. I thought that was going to go a way different direction after he said that they’ve been drinking there all day but no. “… all day, so they can do what they want.” Wow

This place is just like home. Always a friendly smile as soon as you walk in the door. Also has the best bartenders around that make fantastic drinks as well as amazing Drag Shows

Long standing gay bar in Baton Rouge. Always have someone at the bar to talk too. Loyal owners and clients, yet great for visiting when your in town.

Dark and dirty. Don't go if you want to have a good time. Only for regulars who do not like new people.
