Lyssa is the best massage therapist I've ever been too. I can list 100 reasons why but to simplify it, she knows how to identify issues, work through them efficiently and help solve problems. She asks questions, pinpoints issues, and is thorough in her analysis and treatment. One of my favorite things about her is that she continues her education to ensure she is always on top of her game. One thing to note before you go to Lyssa, she will ruin all other massages for you. I never want to go to anyone other than her.

I have been seeing Lyssa for over 3 years and don’t know what I would have done without her!! I have severe scoliosis that comes with chronic daily pain, and incorporating Lyssa’s sessions into my routine has exponentially increased my quality of life. I love how her sessions are very technical, and she pays close attention to your history with pain and what’s going on with your body at the moment. She is so customer service oriented, friendly, efficient and SO knowledgeable in her field. I can’t recommend Lyssa enough - I would give 100 stars if I could!!!

Lyssa is THE BEST! I've been seeing Lyssa for over 5 years. She has magic hands, either able to fix a pinched nerve or tight muscle or just reset your body back to a less stressed state. She gets into all the "nooks and crannies" of the muscles and such, more clinical than I can describe. Seriously, her capabilities to heal your body won't disappoint!!

Lyssa is the best massage therapist I have ever had and at 67 that is saying something! She is flawless in her technique and knows her craft. She has a healing touch that is innate. I love that she asks what is bothering you and will focus on that issue. Also, she will explain what is going on and give you tips on how to maintain those problematic areas. She should be cloned!

As a retired roller derby skater with plenty of injuries, I've lived with debilitating chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain for nearly 10 years. In that time, I've logged countless hours on the tables of the massage therapists (and in the doctors' offices) of the greater Los Angeles area, trying to find relief. No one has been able to hold a candle to Lyssa. All of these 5 star reviews really are accurate - she's extremely gifted and her unique approach to massage has made such a difference in my quality of life. Quite a dramatic thing to say after only three months of patronage, but she's a life changer.

I’ve had plenty of massages over the years trying to chase away the knots and bruises accrued while downhill skiing, standing all day while teaching middle school, hunched over the counter at my computer in a posture even Quasimoto would shake his head at, and I thought I knew what a good one should entail. After my first massage from Lyssa, she blew that perception out of the water and made it difficult to appreciate any other massage but hers. Talented, perceptive, and professional, Lyssa knows her business. In our first session, she narrowed in on areas I didn’t even know existed but where a lifetime of bad posture, falls, and knots had resided. After our session, I left feeling better than I have in years. I’ve lost track of the times I’ve been back since, but I’ll go out of my way to make sure my travels take me by the door of Getty’s Sports & Orthopedic Treatment.

I've had a leg injury for over 15 years now. I've been to countless PTs, chiros, acupuncturists. Have done lasers, steroid shots, and PRP shots. You name it I've tried it. Lyssa is the only one who I've made progress with. She's very knowledgeable, dedicated to her craft, and patient. If you have a lingering injury that no one can seem to fix I highly recommend scheduling a session with Lyssa. She's amazing!

The timing of my first and only so far (there will be more!) appointment with Lyssa was serendipitous. I think I had her last appointment before everything got shut down due to #itscoronatime. It couldn't have come at a better time, having aches and pains from prior injuries and stiffness from having a desk job, to being shut in the house and working (very fortunately) from home which would've totally exacerbated my pain. I have been dealing with pain and discomfort from degenerative disc disease, costochondritis, being sedentary, age, stress, etc. I've been to other massage "sport" therapists, physical therapy, orthopedics, chiro, acupuncture, had a PRP injection, stretching, yoga, pain gels.... the list goes on. My massage with Lyssa wasn't like any other massage I've had, I used to have a "no pain no gain" mentality, and while the massage wasn't a walk in the park, I definitely was not in pain but more importantly Lyssa educated me that getting a healing and beneficial massage doesn't require pain. I felt very comfortable with Lyssa throughout and it was abundantly clear to me that she goes through great lengths to ensure her clients get the best treatment from her - starting with the comprehensive intake form, to her commitment to communication during the session (communication isn't just verbal! body language, grunts, every reaction is how we communicate) and being in-tune with my reaction and adjusting, her facility, the playlist (! this stuff matters, when you've had been through the whole massage bit, "spa" sounds gets real old), the business blog, the informative and *common-sense* newsletters.. And the actual massage itself - Lyssa truly has a healing touch and she genuinely cares, this comes through in her massage. Also she massaged under my shoulder blades and as intense as it was, I've never felt such relief in my upper back - no one has ever massaged under my shoulder blades! It was really the best session and meeting I could've hoped for before these strange times started. Lastly, I really appreciate that the treatment didn't end with just the physical session. She continued to communicate with me via email even after the session and followed up with product recommendations and home exercise/dynamic stretching that I should do. The home exercise platform recommendation, Essentrics, alone was worth meeting with Lyssa. This has been a godsend during shelter-in-place - I have never had physical movement have such fast and lasting benefits! TL;DR - Lyssa is the real deal. Start Essentrics now. Ps. Lyssa, we're almost there! I look forward to our next appointment. 🙂
