They just re opened and wow totally a great vibe. New menu with funny names and craft cocktails. Pool table, photo booth, really sweet bartenders. Highly recommend.

the experience depends the day or the people attending, so for me it was a good place for to drink a beer in San francisco, LGBT place and in down town.

Great little bar downtown, they are open for events even though it says closed, so check the website and insta.

Reboot of historic watering hole. I was at Gingers Trois in the late 80's. Some of the dive bar remains - although the walls are no longer decorated with glitter mirror silhouettes of a dancing Fred and Ginger. Friendly crowd, quite busy for a Tuesday . This is a cool place to bring a friend to get pissed (drunk - I'm English) Worth stopping in.

Excellent gay bar with decent priced drinks ($9-11 cocktails) to $5-10 beers.

One star, 1 for the nice bartender and drinks, 0 for the rest of the business. I attended Ginger's the evening of Saturday, March 31st 2018. Rule number 1 for any business: don't hire people who don't want to be there. You will never meet someone who wants to be there less than the young lady drinking tea who checks IDs a the door, MY GOD. She literally spent 2-3 minutes going through her text messages and apps before deciding to RAISE HER EYES to view my ID, at which point she looked back down at her phone. There were no words exchanged, there was no eye contact, just my adult group of 5 friends waiting for a child to get off her phone, I can't imagine putting the least happy person of an establishment at the front to greet people. Every one of my friends who attended this evening had a story for how rude she was to them, it was extremely awkward. This was around 9-10pm. After ~2 hours we noticed the place was really NOT filling up. It was the same 1-1.5 dozen people inside and to get a drink you had to wait 15-25 minutes in the one line for the one bartender, it just didn't add up. So we grabbed our stuff to leave and we were shocked at what we saw as we left... A bouncer telling people they couldn't come inside for reasons. Maybe private parties had spots reserved? I'm not sure, friends have come on other nights and experienced a packed house. But no, there were more people waiting to get in the bar than there were inside, and it was DEAD inside. Dear Ginger's, change everything that you are doing, put a nice person at the front, and let your customers come inside to give you money [in an efficient manner,] we don't have all night, and neither do you 😉

Amazing fun underground gay bar. For being in the location downtown I love this place so much for a night out w/ fun and drinks! The Esta Noche is a kicker by the way! Love the music and karaoke nights are fun! A must go and kinda’ weird this is the only gay bar in downtown SF area, most are in Castro and SOMA area. Love this location!!

Such a nice downtown bar. Cocktails are delicious and staff super friendly. Music a bit too loud to hold a conversation but perfect place for an afterwork boogie !
