Grand Tavern Rochester Hills

It was busy when upon entered. Our brussels sprouts were charred. The burnt taste was stuck in our mouths. So anything we ate after tasted burnt. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was great but too much pasta with it. My husband had the all-you-can-eat fish and chips. He was disappointed. The fish was not crispy. The fries were ok. So he only had one plate when he could've eaten a couple more plates.

We had a great experience for dinner. Our server, Kristian, was very friendly, and he made sure that we were taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are really large. The atmosphere is nice but it was really loud. The outside seating area was really nice though, so I'll probably go for that next time.

The waiter was fantastic Service was something to behold The food portions were enormous and very good...and the atmosphere, we'll let's just say....the drinks were flowing! ****OUTSTANDING******

The food was very delicious and in huge portions! I was very satisfied with the size, quality, and deliciousness of the food for the cost. It is a little pricey compared to other places in the area, but the quality and portions make it worth it. The only real issue we had was our server, who was new on the job. I'm not sure if they do not provide great training or what the issue was. She did not know how to ring in any of the happy hour specials. She was not very friendly, as well as very short and unpleasant. I understand being new, but when you don't know how to do something and just walk away mid taking an order with out explaining why you did it is terrible customer service. This happened multiple times through out the 4 people at our table ordering. I'm going to assume it was a training issue because she seemed clueless, but trying her best and almost frustrated with the situation she was in.

The food here is amazing. I was in town for work training and this place was walking distance from my hotel. It was so good I had to go back and try more food. The steak was fantastic, the chicken parm is probably the best I have ever had and absolutely massive. Wings were great, pickle spears were great. The next time I am in the area I will be back 100%. 10/10 highly recommend.

A nice relaxed atmosphere. They have a breakfast buffet that a huge selection. Not only breakfast food but desert too. Only challenge is getting there. The road leading to it is one way. So you either break the law or drive around to the entrance.

During my recent visit to the restaurant, I had an experience that left much to be desired. I would rate it as a two-star dining experience. While I understand that every restaurant can have off days, my visit raised several concerns. Moreover, the food quality did not meet my expectations. The dishes were subpar, considering the price point of the restaurant. I had anticipated a more delightful culinary experience, but the flavors and presentation fell short. The taste was mediocre at best, and it seemed like the kitchen was not at its best on that particular day. I believe that for the amount I paid, the quality should have been superior. The value for money was simply not there. I expected a more memorable dining experience but left feeling disappointed.

Was enjoying an early dinner with my kids and parents. He’s the burger pretty good seasoning, mom had massive nachos, dad has white fish that he really liked. We were 1/2 way through dinner someone decided they wanted to eat outside…. This meant that the shades had to be pulled up. Letting direct in tinted sun directly into our eyes. We asked for the shades to be put back down. We’re told when they were done setting up and the customers were seated. We watched 2 employees out those doors while several others went around. Not sure why the shades couldn’t be lowered during setup? Ginal After setup 2 customers were led outside and the shades were re-lowered so about 10 min of not being able to see for 5 people in the middle of dinner because 2 people wanted to eat outside and the other door “wasn’t a Customer door”. Been there a few times before and it was nice… but in guess there is a hierarchy or customer ms and we were at the bottom…. Doubt I will Go back.
