After visiting the cider lab in summer duck, we needed to grab a late lunch somewhere. We never visit the cute town of Culpepper and ultimately decided to visit Grill 309 based off of recent reviews. We were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we like. We chose our seat, we were brought waters, but waited a little bit longer than we would have liked for someone to come and take our order. We were starving as we had not eaten breakfast yet. We decided on the Spinach and Artichoke dip for an appetizer, the Steak Wrap, and Build your own Burger. The spinach and artichoke dip tasted decent but wasn’t as creamy and flavorful as I would have hoped it would be. However, I did love the fried pita chips they served it with. To be honest… I would eat those just by themselves. My boyfriend thought the steak wrap was delicious. There was a favorable about of steak, had great flavor, and the crunch of the green veggies they put in the wrap was a nice addition. My burger was tasty. I did have to send back my bun due to something being stuck to it but they immediately addressed the issue and compensated me by taking off the one IPA I ordered. The house made French fries stole the show! They are cut and made in house and were amazing. Overall we enjoyed the local environment and appreciated the highlights of the meal.

Pretty cool spot for food and drinks. Came in for a late lunch and the food was good, loved their house made chips that had the perfect crunch! Maybe it’s because I’m not from the area, but their tap water tasted very strange, maybe leftover soap from the dishes? And I’m not a water snob like I’ll drink from a hose, but this water wasn’t watery enough. Overall a good local dining experience!

Finished a hike over at Old Rag and was starving. Found this place and we gave it a go. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We had the Gyro Burger and the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and it was delicious! Their half off appetizers were good too. The vibe was really good, plenty of room, very aesthetic with the wood furniture. Plenty of outdoor And indoor seating. Service was really good, Staff was friendly and very attentive. They also honor Military & Veterans here, just ask. They took care of us. I think this is going to be our new spot for whenever we come and do a hike.

We went back here because we loved the food the first time, but this time was different. They were very busy this time so we had to wait for a table. They ended up giving our table away to someone else who came in after us, but there was no room to wait inside, so people were waiting outside. There was no clear hostess, so I imagine that is where things fell apart. After waiting 20 minutes for a table, they seated us. We never received any silverware and our drink orders from the bar (a draft beer and a cooler non-alcoholic cooler) took 30 minutes to receive and two times of asking for it. We ordered the donut burger, which is a must try, and a patty melt. Better eaten with a fork and knife though, as it is a glazed donut with a hamburger patty, egg, bacon and sauce. It is one of a kind, but we never received any silverware. We actually were there for 1 1/2 hours before walking up to the manager and asking to pay our bill because our server never came back to collect it. It may have just been a busy day for them, but if it's that busy again, I would go elsewhere.

Food was below average. The wait time was insane and the restaurant wasn't full. After seated we waited roughly 10 minutes for a waitress. Then we had one meal come out nearly 30 minutes before everyone else's. The lobster roll isn't a traditional lobster role. More like lobster onion slaw in a roll. And the fish was pathetic and dry.

Had the lightly fried ham and cheese with chips. The sandwich was great but the chips were amazing. Warm, just fried, thin sliced potato chips. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was AMAZING! So many choices it was hard to to choose the most delicious sounding thing. I got the poutine and regret not having pictures to share. The service was fair but the young gentleman who was our server could use some refining on his skills. Maybe be a little More knowledgeable about the menu options and a tad bit more personable/ friendly. But he was very attentive to us and was willing to seek the answers to our question. Good job young sir. Also this place is WAAAAAAYYYYY BETTER than frost cafe. Definitely coming back. Prices are very reasonable and food is filling.

Served a raw burger and got a Philly cheese steak with 3 chunks of meat so it was like 90% vegtables. Don't order take out from here they give you the good stuff when you eat in and screw you when you order takeout. Lost my business 100%, wasn't even busy in there.
