My experience with Ground Round has been a continuous decline in quality along with a sharp increase in cost. About eight years ago, I was very impressed with the restaurant. They had a variety of sandwiches and other entrees you wouldn't find at other restaurants in town, and they had a comfortable price point. One sandwich in particular I would get was 13.99, and came with a full bowl of soup and two sides. That sandwich no longer exists. Not only that, a variety of meals I enjoyed are no longer available. I can think of four, but there might be more as it's been awhile. Every time you come in, more things are shuffled off the menu for more generic variants. Now there isn't anything available I couldn't get elsewhere -- and for a far better price! As a point of comparison, let's look at steak. You can currently get an 8oz. Sirloin steak with two sides for a whopping $21.99. By comparison, if you go to Texas Roadhouse, you can get an 8oz. Sirloin with two sides (in my opinion, of better quality) for $13.99. Heck, you could get a 16oz. Sirloin for $20.99! You can do similar cost comparisons to whatever other restaurants you like, Ground Round is consistently more expensive than all but the most expensive restaurants in town, with no quality or uniqueness to back it up. Well, perhaps quality and price point are everything. Maybe they've increased the portion size of meals to make up for it... or not. They've universally shrunk. To get a similarly cut and made sandwich as eight years ago, before holding it in one hand was genuinely a struggle, but now I can comfortably hold both halves at once. The size is comparable to the kind of grilled cheese they made in middle school. Similarly, the bowl of soup has been reduced to a cup -- a half full one, at that. Even side dishes like fries which have a low cost for the restaurant have shrunk in serving size, currently making up less than a third of the plate. It's been a constant spiral downwards in quality and quantity with massive price jumps even compared to other businesses. I'm convinced the only reason they're still in business is an outside chef who comes in to cook Chinese 3 days a week. On the off chance you go here and find something you do like, it'll be gone or made worse within a year. Would not recommend.

Had to try the Chinese food and yes, it's the best in town. It's a simple menu but they change out the featured item. Very tasty, portions were good, and it was fresh. This will be my go to place for Chinese food now.

Had a gin and tonic to drink-didn’t appear to be any gin in the drink. Ordered taco salad with seasoned chicken. Was only able to find 10 little cubes of chicken in dish that had no seasoning at all. There were 8 of us at the table and after we ordered took 30 minutes for 4 of us to get our food with the rest of the group getting their food 15-20 minutes later. Even though the place was only maybe a quarter full, we were seated right next to the back door. With a lot of people coming and going through that door, it made for a very cold experience. The whole experience was quite disappointing and we won’t be back.

Ground Round is one of my favorite places! With several different seating options and fresh popcorn at the table, GR is the prefect spot for lunch or supper. The server was very friendly. The atmosphere is calm with good lighting, no loud music, and clean seating. My wife and I opted for burgers, which were delicious. My son had mini corn dogs and mac n cheese. The father in law (whos food I never got a pic of) ordered the jambalaya. I got to sample a bit of the jambalaya and was instantly jealous. In the end, we all kept asking each other why we don't go to Ground Round more often! We will definitely be going back.

Tbh the place seems very cool to go and watch the game in and get a little drunk, they popcorn we got with our door dash pick up is super freaking good and I had it with some drinks at home and it was the perfect snack, genuinely better than movie popcorn. Had a bunch of stuff, but absolutely everything we had was pretty good, the Tortilla soup is something I've been looking for since I moved from Texas and this place makes a really good one, their jambalaya is a little pricy but I think it's well with it considering the portion and protein quantity/quality. A super great place with tons of great options, we will absolutely be eating here again, I genuinely usher you towards the idea of trying it yourself as it's very good food and Imagine the sit in experience us also noteworthy.

We always fly out of Grand Forks when we travel to Vegas (from Canada) every time we have a late flight we make it a point to stop in and have drinks, dinner and relax before heading to the airport. The service staff is so friendly and fast! Make sure you leave them a great tip as they are paid according to being a tip based job. They live off their tips! The restaurant is clean and located by the mall. They have sports on the TV’s and you receive a bowl of popcorn to start with.

Me and a buddy both ordered ribeyes here, these things were inedible. It tasted like they cooked it a day before and microwaved it. It was $28 a ribeye, so i expected it to be somewhat decent. It was the worst steak of my life so I gave it to my dog when I got home and my dog barely ate half of it. Service was good and their queso was pretty good.
