Had heard of this place , on 92.1 , Dead Air Denis . Saw an advertisement on Facebook , with live music . Had to see , for myself . Upon arrival , was met by the bartender , Angela . Extremely kind . Had one signature cocktail , Stairway to Heaven , that was awesome . This young lady , had my back ...all night ! She knew I was alone , in a new place ! Thank you , again Angela ❤️ Great atmosphere , has an outdoor patio , clean surroundings and bathroom . Will be back !

What a cool little spot for friends to gather and test your skills. Ring toss, beer pong and dart boards make this a fun spot to hang. Richmond Dart League and others meet here to test their skills! Friendly bar service is always present making this a fun spot in Richmond!

Great little bar. Very friendly place. Good prices. Good selection of beer and liquor. Has live music and dart tournaments and open mic night too. I would very much recommend it for any one to go to and enjoy their selves

Great selection of draft beer at good prices. Dartboards (and house darts) available…league night Wednesday open to the public. Great live music Thursday through Saturday. But the best thing about The Hair of the Dog House is the friendly staff!

It's fine. Live music was good enough, ~50yo rock, $5 cover. Moderate selection of drinks- maybe 10 beers on tap and another 6 bottled. Roughly half a dozen available liquors (whisky, vodka, tequila, no rum). Food(BBQ) was solid. Restroom is clean. 2 dart boards, looks like they can be used when there isn't a band. Nice patio area. I could see this being a good bar for regulars- especially if they knocked out the middle wall, to open it up a bit, and added a pool table.
