A cute bar tucked in the tail end of Kensington. Went there recently because my friend was djing. Liked the fact that it was a decent sized stage that wasn’t too tall, it was a great show 🙂 tried my first cosmopolitan. So cute!

Nice place with a good potential, however if you go there for karaoke be prepared for the mc not picking your song and having just his friends to sing. We were a group of +/-15 and some of us waited 4 hours before their songs were chosen whilst some other guy sang at least 3 times. Also very disrespectful comments from the mc. I recommend to fire the guy.

the best open mic in town (Tuesday nights start at 8ish). Some serious talent there! If I was a scout looking for the next music star(s) I would definitely hang out there a lot! Very professionally organised, the show runs smoothly, awesome musicians. Good selection of beer, on tap and cans. not that much in terms of eating, but you can bring food from another venue (and Kensington Market has so much to offer in terms of take out). Highly recommended. True magic happens there.

I went to handlebar yesterday with some friends for the $5 drinks until 8pm. The bartender was extremely rude to us even though we were polite and tipped, she gave us bad looks and when we asked what was on tap she said “well if you look on the MENU the options are right there.” Don’t know if she was having a bad day or what but it was the first time at handlebar for a few of us and the service did not feel welcoming. Hope she feels better today.

The beer is great! On tap we got to have the amber, dark and sour beers which were all great <3 The perfirmers: Matthew Holtby, Dani and Jay Willow were absolutely amazing! Totally recommend, 10/10, will go again

The bar actually has a good vibe and I actually really liked it, but suddenly the music got incredibly loud, even though there were only a few guests there who were just chatting. It was annoying and inappropriate, and the music would certainly have been more appropriate later in the evening. That's why we went somewhere else.

super cute bar with such fun bartenders! they had a free show with many talented people singing. the environment was great, i would definitely come again. they have outdoor seating as well
