Hi Tops is a fantastic neighborhood-friendly sports bar that I absolutely love. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for any occasion. The staff consistently impresses with their friendly smiles and excellent service. If you visit, I highly recommend trying the wings and garlic fries—they're simply outstanding.

Love Hi Tops! This is my first time going, and the experience was awesome! Bartender was so friendly, the drinks were well mixed and delicious, the food was incredible. Great menu, great portions, and very high quality. I ordered a simple breakfast burrito, my partner got a chicken sandwich. For an appetizer, we decided to split a half order of nachos, which came out on a platter and could have fed two people by itself. And that was only a HALF order! We were so full, we had to go back up to our hotel and take a nap. I absolutely cannot recommend this place more! Anytime I'm in the Castro in the future, I will be stopping by.

This place is a hit or miss. Unfortunately for me it has been mostly a miss. The food is decent but the staff is rude. On busy days the bar is slow and some of the bartenders seem highly intoxicated and out of it. The music on Pride Sunday was simply awful. The non-stop repetitive techno beats were painfully bad and made the already questionable establishment feel and look even worse. Out of all the bars and clubs in the Castro this is one of the worst (besides Badlands).

So always a good time at HiTops! I am often there for burgers and scotch! All American boy, jock staff in tank tops and short shortz. Lot's of gay sports teams are sponsored by, and/or imbibe at HiTops. Can get a little clickish if you are not on a team, but any bar can get clickish in any town in the world. SUPER fun on big game/competitions, ie. Superbowl, World Series or recently the Presidential Debate. I assume that they will be hosting the VP Debate as well. Crowd tends to skew younger, but there are all sorts. Tends to skew white or Asian then Black or Latino. I always find the crowd pleasant and convivial, but there's always one or 2 that shouldn't be drinking anymore, lol. LOVE the door staff! Delbert and Jocelyn are the BEST!

The kitchen consistently closes up to an hour before the posted 9:30 time. Fortunately Bar49 a few doors down doesn’t lie about their kitchen closing times.

Great food, strong drinks and positive atmosphere best capture the essence of this bar. The burger and chicken sandwich were really tasty. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich.

Went there for Argentina v Netherlands World Cup 2022. Tim , pictured, was the hardworking bartender. At the 11:00am game, the beers were $7. The fries, $6, were HOT and fresh, too. There are about 20 screens with the game so you could get in the action from any seat. At the game’s peak, every seat was filled and many were standing. It was , however, not crowded. Tim said for a big game, the place would be packed with standing room. Service was great and a second bartender helped. The seemed to mix a lot of complicated drinks! Crowd was friendly. All around great deal and time. Exciting game helped!

Decent fried chicken sandwich, a bit dry. SF has several better ones. Friendly staff. Bit pricey.
