Service was friendly, but slow. We were a large group though, but we were the only party in the restaurant. The tacos and chicken tenders were decent. The drinks were strong. The shrimp pasta was good. The cheese curds didn’t have cheese in them. They looked and tasted like greasy fried batter, which was a big let down. The burgers weren’t flavorful and burnt. We could have just come on a bad day, but I won’t be coming back again unless it’s just for drinks in bar area.

We stopped there New Years Eve. We had to seat ourselves, service was slow, waitress didn't check on us after getting out food. Stuffed mushrooms were good, but small portion. I didn't like the tacos, they were tiny dry & side wasn't good. Husband's Philly looked good, he liked it. May or may not go back.

We had high hopes but we were sadly disappointed. There was 2 other tables besides us and the acoustics are horrible. The inside door slams shut so hard it sounds like a shot gun goes off. The presentation of the quesadilla was wonderful but the chicken in it was not good. Totally took away from what it could have been. The hand pattied burger must be put into a mold before cooking. It was a perfect hockey puck that was flavorless and dry. The waitress never came back to table and never refilled beverages. Great potential but sadly we will not be back.

Was in town and needed a bite. Decent food and cheap beer. I had the turkey bacon melt and hubby had a burger.

It absolutely amazes me that hickory st kitchen has managed such a high star level by other reviewers. The presentation of my food was nice, the cheese curds were good. Now on to the main part of the course... My tacos were just dry chicken and peppers topped with cheese, with no flavor at all. So I asked for some salsa. I was presented with salsa with ice crystals in the salsa! Not only that, but the salsa had no flavor at all. My mom could not enjoy her Reuben, and had to send it back to the kitchen. What a poor excuse for a restaurant.

Tracey and her staff went above and beyond my expectations when they catered our daughter's weddi g this past weekend. The food was delicious and their service was outstanding. Their special attention to the bridal party, as well as our elder guests was very much appreciated!! I can't thank you enough!

The food was amazing, deserves at least 4 stars. The service however was atrocious. Apparently we should’ve been seated- wouldn’t have guessed considering there didn’t appear to be a bartender. Just kidding! It’s the woman at the end of the bar playing on her phone. She eyed us after we sat down and walked to the hostess stand while still on her phone to get us menus. She got us drinks and went back to sit at the bar on her phone with another woman (who was also a server?!) They had some music on the TV until whatever time Friends starts on Nickelodeon, which they promptly sat down to watch together. Will order food again, will not eat there again.

Went for lunch and had the pickles, cheese curds, and fish tacos. The pickles were thick cut with a beer better and really good. Fish tacos were great. Flaky and not overcooked. The Apple jalapeno chutney and pickled onions were a fresh, bright flavor along with housemade chips and queso. Very pleasantly surprised with this small town gem.
