Packed! Food is classic American style. I read a 2 star review about the chicken not being seasoned but overall I would say this is perfectly seasoned for this type of food. It’s no complex overly done seasoned style of cooking. Simple, great prices, and quality food.

You're in for some delicious food if you stop here. They are famous for their fried chicken, and it did not disappoint. Their fried catfish was very tender and surprisingly light. We enjoyed both dishes immensely. Just a heads up, on Sundays they close at 3. Stop by and as always, support local.

Great prices & food for a dive. Wait was pretty long but that was expected being a neighborhood staple. When being seated the waitress seated us with other couples…. Kinda weird and many won’t be comfortable with that but I personally enjoy meeting new people. Service: Waitress made good suggestions but definitely seemed like she was rushing us through the process of seating, eating, paying, leaving. I’m sure it was because it stays busy but I felt we could have been treated better. Food: Fish was amazing! Large portions for the price. We also got the chicken, it was very dry and the seasoning was extra salty. The sides were decent outside of the starchy, mushy Mac & Cheese. Atmosphere: Definitely a dive. Tables honestly seemed like plastic tables that were bought at Walmart then they threw a plastic picnic table cover over them. Sections were divided by menus, seating many groups at the same table. Kinda like a slop-hall. Overall, I’ll go back because the price was right for what they offer but I don’t suggest this place for people that are shy.

For many years Hobos has been providing the fine folk of Saint Peters, and far beyond thereof, with some of the most spectacular gastronomical delights within a radius extending nigh indefinitely. All at a fair and reasonable price. There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said about this place. Everyone within a country mile knows you can come here any night of the week and get fried chicken cooked to such a masterful level that it could serve as a standard for the very definition. Everyone always tells me that the rest of the menu is just as good but I consider it a missed opportunity, even a disservice to myself, to get anything else other than bone-in fried chicken or their hand breaded, thick, and oh-so-succulent, chicken strips. Pair these bad boys with their homemade ranch, which is a phenom in itself, and you will find yourself in a culinary valley of blissful enlightenment. 9.6/10 clucks. Don’t take my word for it. If you’ve never been here just come and make the pilgrimage. There will likely be a long line upon your arrival but your patience will be kindly rewarded in the end.

This place is amazing. I hate that we were just passing through and didn't have time to try everything. I not a huge pork guy but Freddie the freeloader is excellent. I also tried the fried chicken, twice baked casserole and fries. I don't have any complaints about any of them.

I genuinely, TRULY wanted to love this place because of all the hype surrounded by it's legendary fried chicken. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. I visited I'm not sure if it was the cook that night or the fact that I came in on a crowded Saturday night back in January. The presentation of the chicken looked fantastic. But looks were deceptive. It was crispy. Juicy, in fact! The problem was it only tasted like salt. It's as if the brine it was marinated in had nothing but salt. The breading, too, only tasted like salt. No spice at all that I could detect. Maybe a hint of black pepper, but it was very slight. The green beans were ultra soggy and overcooked with an unpleasant aftertaste. The slaw was extremely good though! The burger was cooked like a hockey puck, sadly. Very stiff and rubbery. The onion rings were also slightly undercooked in the middle. Again, I get the hype! This place has been around for a long time entertaining folks for years. I might come back again and try, but for now, I'll leave it up to y'all to decide! Not delicious.

Pretty nice place with great service. Starters were the fried pickles and jalapeño poppers and they were both great. Monica had 3 pcs chicken (I ate one) with twice baked potato and corn. Though I am partial to Steve's Famous Chicken near Russellville, MO, and really like Southern Comfort's chicken down by Lake of the Ozarks......Hobo's is very good too! The twice baked tater and corn were things I would definitely order again. I had the Smoke Turkey hoagie. Little messy but pretty good. The potato salad was very good, as was the mac and cheese. If you are a fried chicken chaser, this is the place to go in the St. Peters, MO area!!!

This place is great. The service is fast. The food is hot and delicious. They are famous for their fried chicken and I can attest to that. Crispy, seasoned perfectly. And the sides are home made and great. You cannot go wrong
