HopMonk Tavern Sebastopol

I would say it’s nearly impossible to disappoint me and my partner with the basic pub food after a full day of outdoor activities, we would probably eat fried pebbles and be be happy, but these guys managed to do just that. Service was outstanding, the atmosphere is great. Food is like 2/5. Partner said his burger sucked. Our soups sucked. Fries out of fryer sucked. My “risotto” was a dog food bowl. Any food place that cuts vegetables like slabs of rock should be ashamed of themselves. Will not be coming back. Will try to erase this visit from my memories.

Great food and the beer was outstanding. Pickle fries and the Calamari was my personal favorite. Great ambience as well.

I was here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was so good, as well as the drinks. Best salmon I've had in a long time! Good size portions and very tasty. It rained, and the staff was helpful with rearranging seating to keep people dry. Service was on point and friendly. Afterwards, we continued there for other wedding guests "after party" gathering for people to mingle. Bartenders were friendly. The space was a little crowded and loud (that was out where the live music space is), but that's to be expected. The outdoor area does flood a bit when rainy so there were wet shoes and feet, but aside from that it was great.

Service wasn’t great. It was busy but I was ordering abundantly and tipping generously and the snowflake servers were ignoring me and then when I called them out on it, they tattled to their manager and the manager asked me to leave. They seemed more concerned with serving water and chatting to the locals hanging out there then assisting people who had wanted to order food and drinks but didn’t want to be kept waiting for 20 minutes in between seeing a server. Food was tasty, band was good, trivia guy was talented and sounded just like Patton Oswalt. Anyway, pretty nice except they should really make the whole bar self serve since I could have made my own drink faster then the server could be bothered to check on me.

We hosted our son's Rehearsal Dinner at Hop Monk Sebastopol and it was perfect. The food and atmosphere were great, and the staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate the wedding couple. Lindsay was very cooperative about having me drop off decorations and centerpieces which they set up while we were at the rehearsal. I especially appreciated all of the staff recognizing what an important night it was and doing everything in their power to make it special. I would happily host another event there.

Hello. Let me start by saying my original review for Hopmonk Sebastopol was not the best. I went by myself and it seemed to me that being by myself did not seem to matter much to the staff. I felt ignored and left to find lunch elsewhere. I do not like leaving negative reviews. I always try to give more than one try to an establishment. So I went back his past Saturday for solo lunch again. Very different experience! I was seated quickly and my server showed up within 5 minutes to take my drink order. I order a Harvest Punch cocktail. It was in front of me in about a minute. It was a little smaller than I expected but tasted amazing!!! For lunch I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with regular fries. It was good but not great. Fairly priced for the area as well I thought. All in all a much better experience.

Our waitress was amazing, we got there at slow hour, the place only had like 20 people in it. Scared me a little because it seemed so unpopulated for such a wide space. I was wrong, also it is a brew place so a lot of the customers are more at dinner. She let us sit anywhere we want. The place is dog friendly and very nice. Live music, Great prices. My boyfriend and I ordered a lot of food but the next day the left overs even tasted good. I will return and probably become a regular lol

Ambience Is wonderful. Outside seating under cover. Bench tables. Food is good. Service good. We were rushed by server a bit. Place folded up early on a Saturday night. Folks used to come and hang out with a beer. Those days are over? Overall one of my fav go to places.
