INKwell Club, Cruise & Concerts

I want to take a moment to recognize the exceptional customer service I received at Inkwell. From the valet parking to the attentiveness of the staff and management, the experience was top-notch. I celebrated my birthday there with family and friends, and everything from the music to the food was outstanding. Since that memorable night, I’ve returned twice and am already planning to bring more of my family and friends back again and again. One of the things I particularly appreciate , is the smoke free environment, no smoking, vaping, or Hookah. If you have any special events coming up, I highly recommend booking them at Inkwell. You’re guaranteed to have an unforgettable time.

We paid over $100 each to see Donell Jones via Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster sells tickets to real shows/ concerts so we never knew this was a club that happened to have an artist coming for a few minutes. That should have been explicitly stated to manage expectations and avoid disappointment. We read reviews the night before so we knew what to expect and by then it was too late to back out. We paid for a table but there was no table service. There was a number to text to get food, which we did but after an hour got nothing. Asked a passing employee where to order and she mumbled something and walked off. Example prices: Fries were $10, chicken fingers $20, three empanadas were $27!? Crazy expensive empanadas. We never got our food so I can’t even comment on the quality. A drink at the bar was a 30 min wait since there were only two bartenders and drinks cost $16 each. To be fair it was a decent pour. But you definitely should double fist to avoid having to get on that line again. We got there early and vibes were fine, DJ playing our hits. Unfortunately the DJ was better than the show itself. Donell Jones was due to come out at 9, came out at 9:25 and did three of his hits. He then decided to tack on another song and did part of it acapella. He was about to end it right there and decided to do another song but there was no set list and DJ wasn’t ready for it so Donell got mad and walked off. Everyone in the crowd looked confused and annoyed. Thanks for a whole 20 minutes of chaos. From a previous review it sounds like this is the norm. Disappointing and a ripoff. This really should have been advertised as a club cuz not everyone is familiar with Inkwell’s events. And again this was not explicitly stated on Ticketmaster. It also should have been labeled as a Grown Folks Friday event with a guest appearance by Donell Jones and maybe you’ll get fewer complaints cuz this definitely did not count as a show. I recommend checking out Donell Jones' reviews on Ticketmaster also... apparently this isn't new. Which is really, really unfortunate. 🙁

Service was good. Only ordered 1 drink so that's all I can speak for. Bartenders were great. Intimate atmosphere. DJ and host was great. Vibe was great. My problem is what was advertised was a scam though as far as the show. Sold Donell Jones for concert prices to only perform for 20 mins. That's wrong. Do better. Would've been better if they charged door prices and said appearance by Donell Jones but you don't sell tickets for show prices and advertise as a show and give the fans 20 mins. That's a rip off. Would've been fine if he performed a minimum of an hour. This is not sustainable. Do better. Don't do this to your people who supports you. If it wasn't for that this venue would be the best around I believe. Please don't take this personal take the input and do better. BTW blocking every patron on ig that speaks negative in your comments only shows that your trying to present yourself one way which is not the truth and scam like behavior. Do better. Saying this with love people.

Music was on point, it kept us singing and dancing. Definitely a mature crowd, drinks was strong just like I like it. My wings were good. The place is nice, spacious and has clean individual restrooms. My husband and I had a great time.

Always a good time. Old school vibes. Good music nice ambience. Been here a few times and we love the parties. The dj keeps you rocking an on the dance floor! Food was basic chicken tenders wings and fries.

The DJ was great...however, this place is a scam! Went to the Inkwell when Donell Jones was there (9/28/24) and he performed for 20 mins! The Inkwell advertised it as a show and charged concert prices on Ticketmaster. Also, on the Inkwell's Instagram page, you will notice there are only positive feedback/ reviews. I was on their Instagram yesterday and earlier today and saw 2 negative comments from 2 different accounts - went back and the negative comments were gone as if the Inkwell blocked them or deleted the comments. Only leaving the positive reviews for others to see and deleting the negative ones is very shady. I will not be back.

I had a wonderful time at the Inkwell. The club is gorgeous, intimate but roomy there is elbow room. The seating area is comfortable and you are not practically on the floor like a lot of places are designing their places. The DJ KNEW how to get everyone singing and dancing. It’s a gift and not everyone who is a DJ can or should be this person has the gift. The staff from security to the wait staff were polite and checked in if you had everything you needed. Everyone was real and not sacchariney sweet and fake. Looking forward to going back and enjoying more music and events.

Inkwell thank you for an awesome 52nd birthday celebration with my mom who’s 75, son 21, daughters 27 & 32, my husband and sisters…My husband and I danced all night the DJ played music for everyone and everyone had an amazing time. The wings, empanadas and fries were good although they were a lil skimpy on the fries for $13. Before I had the chance to say something to the host my family already had their hands in them…LOL, Great Night and Thank You again INKWELL for my tiara and shining the light on me….we will definitely be back per the family ❤️
