I always have a good time here. In fact i met someone here 9 months ago...we're still seeing each other.! We come here every month to celebrate the night we met.

So far this is the only bar/club I have been to downtown. Everyone is nice so I don't have a need to try another place. They also do many kinds of events each month. I am straight and shy but I feel comfortable there so I will continue to go, and fear not ladies. You don't have to worry about me coming up to hit on you, I am terrified to approach you. 1/10/19 - First strip show I was able to make it to. It was fun, people were as friendly as every other night. 2/14/19 - Valentine's Day strip show was fun. Way more busy than the last one I think. No date for me, but I still had a good time.

Bartenders are awesome and work with you so you get what drink you want. Good atmosphere. Amateur strip night is the best. Good, well-priced drinks. The crowd is pretty mixed gender-wise, which is nice. Much more comfortable than a bar dominated by mostly gay men (I'm just not into them). All in all a great place.

Went there last night for my best friend's bachelorette party. Great place to dance have a good time and just let loose. The workers are all super friendly and do a great job at picking up dirty glasses and keeping the place as clean as possible when it's packed with drunk people. First time there, looking forward to the next time

I love this place. I've been trying to find a place like this for years. If somewhere is to play dance music, it should be somewhere that actually plays a variety. When I hear the same 4 on the floor dance rhythm for more than 15 minutes, it makes me panic. This place is divey, laid back, awesome, assorted, eclectic, it just makes me feel good. This may sound stupid, but this place made me so happy to find that I've been teary happy. I live in Tacoma, and have generally tried to go between Tacoma and Seattle to find gay or gay friendly hangouts and have always been disappointed since 2003. In the 90s it was different. Dance music is a gay nightlife staple, and being such, it's wonderful to find a place that actually promotes diversity in every way. I love it. A huge assortment of people come here, and that's awesome. I've found my favorite night hangout!

I wasn't sure what to expect walking in. I visited early on a Friday evening, which allowed me time to get used to the place before there were too many people around. It's fairly small, but the music is good and the drinks are amazing. Staff is awesome and there are signs everywhere reminding patrons that this is a hate free zone. I loved that. The food was also good; way better than I was anticipating. Friendly tip, bring cash. Everything is cash only, which keeps the costs fairly low. If you're looking for a nice place to meet with someone and have a few drinks, Jake's is a great option!

Haven't been to Jake's in years, despite it being one of the only places with a dance floor. It's billed as a gay bar but it's a really great place to get groped by straight guys on the dance floor and has a years long history of gay people being harassed and assaulted. It's not a safe place for queer people.

I’ve only been once this last weekend. Full of creepers. I definitely felt uncomfortable the entire time. Most of the time we spent warding off aggressively creepy straight dudes. Outside the club was no better. People that were cracked out trying to “walk us to our car” and, when we declined, we were verbally harassed. Overall, very sketchy and unsafe. Maybe I’ll go again in the future during a drag show where I might actually feel a little better about the atmosphere, but we will see.
