Jamars Sports Bar and Grill

Checked out Jamar’s on opening day for Wing & Whiskey Wednesday ($6 Jamesons and $1.50 wings)! We also ordered the happy hour garlic cheese curds which were delicious. Great service (thanks Eric!), fun atmosphere, & a 10/10 menu. We are SO stoked that Des Moines finally has a sports bar with a full dinner menu and Sunday brunch! Can’t wait to come back. Welcome to Des Moines, Jamar & team!

I'm not much of a bar person. But had to check out our new bar own by my friend Jamar since schools growing up. I have to say I'm. Impress. The bar is pretty cool place to go. I hope he have very long success .

Super cool kick back sports bar! We had the catfish basket and chicken sandwich. 10/10 The drinks are on point an the staff are all very attentive an have great attitudes for how busy they were. Definitely will be back soon!

I live in Des Moines and we've been waiting for a go to spot like this. The food was delicious, the pours were generous, and the staff was I don't usually leave reviews, but I was impressed and glad I have a new go to spot!!

First time visit and was able to view 2 games without fighting over a TV (KC v Bills and Sea v SF). The owner was present and working from the time I entered the building around noon until I departed and I'm sure well after. Bar food non the lest but far from five food. Easily enjoy while you're indulging in spirits or sober. The bar staff was slammed all day yet seemed to kept up with the rush of their regular duites as well asbeing the occasional waitress. Tiffany is a Rockstar!!! and clearly has her regulars. I know the kitchen staff is amazing ansld kept up with a large party and the rush. Great job guys if no one else tells you. My party was able to enjoy breakfast Chicken and waffle Stuffed pancake And for lunch a couple catfish baskets

On the 2nd day of business during peak capacity and limited seating available, every staff member was kind, attentive, and super helpful, from seating to ordering and receiving food. The Fried Catfish basket with fries far exceeded my already high expectations. The team under pressure was focused and professional, and I look forward to being a repeat customer.

Nice clean bright spot, decent lay out. darts, pool table, plenty of TVs. Decent price drinks, heavy pours in shots. What's not to love. The ginger bar tender had us laughing all night. If I had to make a complaint it would just be some of the menu items make no sense, and some items are forever 86... elote bowl, fried rice, and the 50/50 chance for a bread bowl. But the food was pretty decent over all. Cheese curds > cheese bites, and a solid burger. Catfish was pretty good like an 8/10 but I'm NC biased. Way more fun then the bar fights down the street. I'd reccomend.

Decided to run down and do some work over my lunch. Couldn't be happier with the Korean BBQ spring rolls and my cocktails! Christina was my server and such a sweetheart, making sure I had everything I needed at every turn. The music was great but low enough for people to converse and the drinks and food perfect!
