Love the decor. It has nihonteki theme, 60s psychedelic lava lamps all over. We ordered ramen with spicy level 3. The chashu was juicy and crispy . Gyoza was cooked crispy . I got spiked boba pearl drink. It had hazelnut liqueur and not overly sweet. Overall great experience. Staff was friendly. Definitely come back and stay late for the live band.

Fantastic employees!! They made great drinks and food!! We were able to bring our daughters (13 years old) to eat inside with us. I made my own ramen bowl, and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable, too!

Vacationing in Florence and it was so nice to find a great cocktail bar with some vegan/vegetarian food options. We checked it out our first night in town - a Thursday - which also happened to be 1/2 off sake and bingo night. Had a great bottle of cold sake (Moonstone coconut lemongrass) as well as a few cocktails and their edamame (which was grilled and well seasoned, a fun change from the standard steamed bowl). Went back on Friday and it was a bit more crowded but they had enough people working that the service didn’t diminish. We had a few more cocktails, the shishito peppers and veggie bao buns (loved both). The highlight of this place is really the cocktails for me. We had the “Feel Like Making Shrub” - loved all the subtle flavors, difficult to describe but I felt like it had sweet, sour, umami and bitter in the perfect balance; “Big Bubble in Little China” - cute presentation, they had me at tequila, grapefruit and aperol; “The Sensei” - my dates fav, he’s into any decent Old Fashioned riffs; “Fight Milk” - we both enjoyed it; “The Kaki-tail” - a little sweet, but still enjoyed it; “No Business Like Hibiscus” - my absolute fav - an Aperol 75 riff with lemon or maybe a French 75 riff with Aperol? I liked it so much I had it both nights. Luckily also very easy to get an Uber from and back to our Airbnb

The best food in town. The ramen, the bao, the bahn mi, the egg rolls, everything we've tried has been phenomenal! And the DESSERTS! We would come just for a dessert. The berry bao is so so good! But the kakigori! OMG! Absolutely divine! The service is great, atmosphere is great, the music is really great! And it's even affordable! I literally usually spend more at most fast food places! (Which has gotten to me choose Lava Room more often because it's so much better!) Also sodas and tea are free with your food with free refills. What? I have gone right at 4 when they open and around 6 and neither was too busy. The bar crowd doesn't really get in till a bit later and there's love music shows later too. I might go one night for the karaoke! Also I proposed to my girlfriend at the Lava Room and the bartender heard me say "she said yes" and repeated it louder and everyone cheered for us! Which is even nicer when I mention we're queer and this is a very queer inclusive space with pride flags behind the bar. It feels like all are welcome here! I haven't had a thing I didn't love. Go today! You'll be back, trust me!

Really good, fun food! Pork in the traditional bao and banh mi was flavorful, chewy but tender, and plentiful. Veggies in both tasted fresh. The bao bun is sooo good. Wonton chips on the side of the sandwich are creative and delicious (especially with the dipping sauce). Sandwich was just a little dry but putting some of the sweet chili sauce for the wonton chips on it helped. Restaurant staff were very abrupt/curt which may be due to how loud it was in the building during my encounter so would wager that the service is normally better. Atmosphere is cool but a bit loud & dark for my tastes. For folks that like live music and more of a club-y vibe, it's probably great.

Very laid back, retro yet moden vibe. The food was delicious & drinks unique and fun. Will certainly be back. We went on a Monday after work & cocktails were 1/2 price. Not many people there when we arrived but the staff is very friendly & interesting. I had the BLT bao bun & Koren bbq egg rolls.

The food was different. It was my first time trying Raumen. The Nachos were incredible! I would go back and not share them next time. The chips tasted homemade, they were a thick, crunchy chip. The food was okay, it wasn't my favorite. I would say, try it. The cream cheese dessert was interesting. ... Overall, I'm giving this place 4 stars. It was different. I don't think it's for me. The person I went with loved it. The place had a hipster vibe. They did an incredible job with the building. I might go back and try something else.

The food was SO delicious!!! The service was fantastic!! We tried the traditional bao buns, the chicken and the pork ramen with customizations. The atmosphere is cozy and ambient but there is limited space. This is a hot spot for college kids after dark so come early if that’s not your thing.
