I’ve had many massages over the years, but Nelson’s technique, professionalism, and attention to detail made this one stand out as the best I’ve ever experienced. Nelson took the time to ask about my problem areas and really listened to my needs. His ability to apply the perfect amount of pressure —firm enough to work out the deepest knots —was unmatched. He has a natural intuition for identifying tension points and skillfully worked through them with precision. What I appreciated most was his focus and dedication throughout the session. It was clear he genuinely cares about helping his clients feel their best. I left feeling completely renewed, with tension and tightness I’d been carrying for weeks completely gone. Nelson is the best at what he does--there's a reason there's not a review under 5 stars. I found him by chance last year by looking on google maps near me for a last minute weekend appointment after pulling something in my shoulder and I remember being taken by all the reviews so I had to go see for myself. The facility is clean and cozy, and he creates a safe environment. He's changed my outlook on how to best care for my body. I used to not care much for massages, but Nelson takes it to another level and personalizes each session to your needs and experience. I know now the difference between a simple massage, and true bodywork.

Without a doubt, Nelson provides the best massage I've ever had. My shoulder and trap muscles were constantly tight from weightlifting and I tried other massages, foam rolling, and pressure point therapy to release the tightness and tension. Nothing seemed to help until I came to see Nelson. It amazes me that he is able to sense areas of your body that need work without you even telling him. He adapts to your needs and is extremely communicative about what he is doing throughout the massage. I have learned a tremendous amount about anatomy myself after going to see him. Once you meet Nelson, you immediately realize he is genuinely passionate about his work and his goal is to make you feel better. I have seen him multiple times and constantly recommend him to others who all have incredibly positive experiences.

Nelson is hands down the most amazing massage therapist I have ever encountered. I'm a personal trainer and my body takes a pretty hard beating during the week. I have past injuries in my back, shoulders and ankles and he intuitively knows exactly how to help relieve them when they pop up and to help me understand how to prevent them from reoccurring. Nelson has the rare and perfect blend of expert technical knowledge of anatomy with the intuitive touch of a healer. He clearly loves what he does and I can tell he cares about his clients and his craft. He takes time to explain what he finds going on in my body, continually checks in to make sure I am comfortable and is extremely responsive to texts and emails. His studio is clean, warm and comfortable without all the pretentious fluff of a commercial spa. He keeps the room nice and heated with low music. I'm so grateful to have found Nelson and highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their mobility, reduce pain or to simply relax and unwind. He is a master and you will be in excellent hands.

Nelson Olivera….this Brazilian man is so much more than a traditional massage therapist. He really is a shaman that he reads his clients holistically and for me personally can move me from my head to my heart to actually experiencing my body and take me to that bliss yogic term called, Bhav. I have been going to Nelson since 2010 or 2011, and in these last 6 or 7 years I’ve certainly had other massages here in San Francisco and around the world and no one else really compares with Nelson. As you read other reviews you see that he has created his own style of massage because he works on his clients intuitively. In a sense it is as though he is in a moving meditation as he used different modalities and techniques through training, workshops and his own self-study. And to top it off Nelson is one of the most joyful people you will ever encounter. Thank you Nelson!

Intelligent, cooperative, genuine, and understanding, Nelson worked with me to find what work I needed done and had the talent to execute it. Even more helpful was the information and at-home techniques to prevent the issues from arising in the future. I am 6’1 and 235 lbs, Nelson used quality techniques to work through my muscle and releave pain from my trigger points. I have and will continue to recommend him to my friends and clients.

Nelson is amazingly talented, knowledgable, strong, creative, intuitive, and kind. I feel so fortunate to have found him! I've had many massages all over the world and he is definitely, by far, the best! I called him to see if he could squeeze me in because I was experiencing neck pain and loss of mobility. He agreed to see me for 20 minutes (during his lunch!) Within 10 minutes he had found the problem - almost all my pain disappeared and I had full range of motion back! I've never seen anyone find a muscle problem and resolve it that quickly. I booked a full 80 minute massage for the next week, and words cannot do the experience justice! Nelson created a safe space, and then he found areas of deep tension I didn't even know I had until he masterfully worked them out and I felt what it was like when my long-held tension had evaporated. He also knows how to find stuck energy in the body and make it flow. I felt my energy body humming! By the time he was done, I felt like a new person - filled with energy and vitality. Wow!
