I’ve had hundreds of appointments all over the US and in other countries as well. I try to go every few weeks. Mila is easily one of the best I’ve ever been to. I made an appointment with Mila because I had an acute issue with my neck and shoulder, and my regular therapist was out of town. Mila’s approach is much different than the norm. Instead of the usual Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage, she customizes the massage to each individual’s needs. She makes those choices as she’s working on you and finds issues. She’s also great about checking with you. She’ll ask if the pressure is to soft or too deep, or if something hurts. For my shoulder, she thought cupping would be good. I’d never had that before. The cups are like suction cups that draw the muscle out to stretch it. It found it interesting and enjoyed it. It does leave round marks that look like bruises, no pain or swelling, just a mark that will fade over the next several days. About 36 hours after my first appointment, I was back to no pain and full range of motion. Mila’s bedside manner is perfect. She is thoughtful, considerate and compassionate. Mila's therapeutic massages are magic! I came in with persistent ankle pain due to an old injury and after just one session with Mila, I felt immediate relief. She is caring, her presence is calming, and she takes the time to investigate the root cause of your pain. Highly recommend Mila, she knows her field. This was my first time seeing her and I've noticed so much less swelling in my abdomen since lymphatic drainage. She worked on all of my scar areas and I feel like something was definitely blocked in the areas and opened up. The room is calming atmosphere, calming music, and she explains everything thoroughly. She will evaluate you before beginning treatment and uses shared decision making, which I'm glad I was given this choice as I feel a lot better.
