Mateys Restaurant in Michigan City is an awesome spot! My friends and I loved it there—the atmosphere was super fun, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We tried the chicken wings, onion rings, and chips with salsa, and everything was on point. The drinks were even better—the beer was cold and refreshing, the cocktails were amazing, and the complimentary apple pie shots were a nice surprise. With its cool vibe and great views of Lake Michigan, Mateys is the perfect place for a night out. We can’t wait to go back!

Very unique sandwich options and the drinks were spectacular. The fried pickles have a very flavorful breading and were very tasty. Being from out of town, our waiter gave us a list of recommendations of things to do and we really appreciated his hospitality! The outdoor seating was awesome too. They separate the family friendly area from an over 21 area and we enjoyed that too.

Wonderful wait staff, bussers are moving quickly and the food is top notch and fresh. Great menu! Suggest grilled pineapple with sauce on the side! And the best part, live music and dog friendly. Can't beat that on a summer night!

We had our class reunion here and they could not have been accommodating to our group of about 100! They were so easy to work with and provided great service. It was a great event in part to the staff and managers at Mateys.

Jordan made thee absolute BEST Bloody Mary I've EVER had. 5 stars to that. The Bartenders here are very down to earth and attentive. I appreciate that!

Not disabled friendly. Had I know that before going we wouldn't have gone. Sat on 3rd story in open air. Wobbly aluminum high sitting chairs. Lot of stairs.Small menu. Food was ok. Staff however were very friendly and welcoming.

Great coconut shrimp. Battered mozzarella sticks were really good too. Cool spot right by the water (not on the water). I didn’t love people smoking right next to me eating, but it was outside. Overall cool spot for a drink and good bar grub.

Great appetizers! Loved the patio! Good service. The only issue was that the tuna in the tacos were not battered as mentioned on the menu.
