By a stroke of luck I was able to get in with Dario during a quick trip to DC. I completely understand why he has such great reviews and is booked. He truly is a healer and great at what he does. I’m used to traditional Massage and bodywork but what he does is beyond that. After an assessment and a discussion of what issues I was having, he was able to address some pain in my Hips and neck/shoulder area and actually provided RELIEF from this post session. I usually leave massages feeling relaxed and better but he was able to target my issues and I am so grateful! I truly recommend him if you want someone who is thorough and sees healing work as a journey not a destination. Loved his set up which was a clean and professional and located in a nice area in DuPont circle. My only regret is that I don’t live closer and wanted a longer session! Do yourself a favor and get on his waitlist:)

AMAZING experience from start to finish. Dario is incredibly talented and is skilled with implementing a wide variety of bodywork techniques. He was communicative both prior to and during my 120 minute service to ensure the most therapeutic and easy experience possible. My body feels so so so much better after seeing him - years old knots feel looser than they ever have and my posture is much more balanced. He is booked out several months but the waitlist was easy to jump on and secure an appointment within a week of signing up. Can’t wait to go back!

It was my first experience and I didn't know what to expect, but once I was on the table I knew I'd found what I needed. I had 90-minutes of full body work, and it was great. Dario had such focus on each muscle group, and really worked into every tissue firmly and expertly. In his hands, I was surprised at just how much range of motion he was able to get from joints and muscle groups, with all the stretching, manipulation, and kneading. Afterwards, I felt energized, more aware of how I move, and I was beautifully sore (in a very good way). If you like to be completely worked over, and want a good, thorough experience, make an appointment. I've already scheduled a follow-up session, and have also put my name on a wait list in case some time opens up in the next few weeks.

My first session with Dario was great. He took the time to understand my specific areas of focus and existing injuries, and quickly identified the types of treatment that would be most effective. His combination of massage and bodywork was more holistic and effective than a typical massage, and I left the appointment feeling better about my mobility and flexibility. Fantastic! I have been getting massages for years and can say, this is by far the best! He checked my posture and stance before we started and was able to identify exactly where I needed help! His technique of massage, stretching and movement made a huge difference and I left feeling so much better! He also listened to my needs and adjusted pressure accordingly. It was amazing!

Dario knows what he is doing- he is booked out for months for a reason!!! He examines the posture thoroughly to identify all pain points. He also takes the time to patiently explain what he is doing- before and while he is doing it. I felt relaxed and was able to sleep without tension in my back and shoulders - after dealing with 4 months of dull and sharp aches. I hope to get another opening soon so I can schedule a follow up. If you are in pain, just go and let him help you!

I had an excellent experience with Dario. I really appreciate the time he took to discuss and understand my injuries to make the session as effective and personalized as possible. He was highly knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of techniques (cupping, scraping, etc.) which I haven’t found with any other massage therapist I’ve tried. I highly recommend Mexia Massage & Bodywork for anyone seeking a sports massage in the DMV!
