Misfit Club

What a find! So glad I popped in here, mainly due to the name and being on my own it felt like a safe bet. And it absolutely was, super welcoming owners, delicious beer and spirits, and a lovely cosy vibe. As I’m English I’d normally avoid English themed places but this is done subtly with a genuine pub vibe rather than being tacky. If I ever go back to Mystic I’ll 100% be returning to the Misfit Club. As a New Yorker who recently stumbled upon The Misfit Club in Mystic, I must say this place is an absolute gem that rivals some of the coolest bars back home. Completely transformed from its previous incarnation, it presents itself as a slightly upscale British pub—but trust me, it’s so much more than that. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an eclectic atmosphere that feels both inviting and refreshingly unique. The drink selection is just as diverse, featuring award-winning craft and microbrews from community-driven breweries, distilleries, and vineyards both locally and abroad. I was particularly impressed by how they focus on supporting underrepresented groups through their offerings—it’s a thoughtful touch that sets them apart. But what truly makes The Misfit Club stand out are the owners. Their magnetic personalities an story have created a space where everyone—from locals to visitors—can feel comfortable enough to be themselves. If you’re in Southeastern Connecticut and looking for a night out that breaks away from the bland and non-inclusive norm, The Misfit Club is the place to be.

This place is FANTASTIC!!! We were looking for a place to have a drink and saw the sign and the British flag and we knew that was it!! Being a Brit myself I love finding little glimpses of home in the USA and this is by far my new favorite! The bar is amazing. So friendly and inviting. Everyone was having such a nice time. The British details are so impressive you guys really did think of everything!!! Even down to the impressive blue sign outside ! The owners George and Timothy are so friendly. They really do make this place a vibrant and welcoming place to be. Even down to their support for the underrepresented groups in what drinks are sold here I think is wonderful! I can't wait to go back!!!

I was in Mystic from IA and just walked into this bar seeing the sign from the street. The drinks were good and the staff was amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating, it was almost weird how every person in this bar was so nice and welcoming.

The drinks celebrate lgbtq folks, women and bipoc which is phenomenal to see in a bar. The space is cozy, on theme and over all fun. Seating is a little sparse especially when busy but overall your there to mill about so it isn't a big issue. Particularly loved the Purple Rain and they have a Smores whiskey there that is fabulous

Wasn't sure what to expect when I went in but OMG I had a blast. The drinks are amazing and the service was superb. 5 stars! Run, don't walk and get you a cocktail today.

Happy to see a place like this bringing a little flavor and diversity to the Mystic bar scene. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Great decor, vibe, and ambiance.
