Mountaineer Tavern

Was in the area for the American Legion World Series & stayed at the hotel right by the Tavern. Went for drinks and this place did not disappoint. This place was awesome. The drinks, service & the people were just amazing. Everyone was so friendly - the staff, owners & patrons - everyone made us feel right at home. This will be a definite stop on our next trip to the area!

This used to be a very welcoming and laid back, drama free venue. It seems like the last few times I came to drink its been very difficult between the security that is overly strict and constantly harassing people and the young young kids they let into this venue who have to be well under the legal age to drink acting like they are trying to re-live middle school drama it us almost unbearable.

I would describe as the town gay bar was nothing but trans which is ok to be trans but I have a problem with men going in the women's restroom. Socially awkward feel here. The shorter bartender with short hair was very friendly the other one not as much.

A nice little place will go back, friendly folks look up on facebook and the BP near the Waffle House . Thanks for the hospitality will be coming back.

Yes!! My husband and I dropped in while in town visiting the casino. Love the atmosphere! Everyone was super nice and friendly. Mixed drinks are amazing at great prices. The live music was great! 10/10

My first time going, amazing in house food, Rhonda was great with explaining the foods. Sherri the owner is also amazing. Definitely will be back. Oh and great band, drinks, pool tables !

Great little small town bar. Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays, with a lot of great singers. Staff is friendly, and quick to serve. Crowd is usually chill, very few issues arise, and when they do, they are dealt with quickly. Great bar to unwind in! They have recently done some improvements, expanded the bathrooms, and added a smoking area outside.
