Mr. Peabody Bar and Grill Review Nestled at 136 Encinitas Blvd, just a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean, Mr. Peabody Bar and Grill offers a fantastic dining experience with an unbeatable location. Our evening began at “The Regal Seagull,” where a kind woman named Shelly recommended Mr. Peabody’s just before closing time. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly bartender who told us to sit wherever we liked and assured us that a waitress or waiter would assist us shortly. We visited on a Wednesday night and were thrilled to discover their wonderful happy hour deals on both food and beverages. Our party ordered a variety of dishes, starting with appetizers like potato croquettes, and followed by main courses including wings, baby back ribs, shrimp cocktail, a chicken sandwich, and onion soup. Every dish was flavorful and exceeded our expectations. The happy hour pricing provided incredible value for the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed. A special shout-out to our excellent waitresses, Kaylyn and Alyssa. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, there was a classic rock cover band playing some timeless hits that did not disappoint. The live music was a perfect backdrop to our enjoyable evening. Mr. Peabody Bar and Grill is a gem in Encinitas, ideal for a casual night out with friends or a cozy dinner by the ocean. With excellent service, delicious food, and unbeatable happy hour deals, it’s a must-visit spot. Highly recommended!

My fourth time here but my first review. Came here before for breakfast which was pretty good but not worthy of a review. This time around I had the happy hour pork ribs, wings, and loaded baked potato. The ribs were tender the chicken wings were tasty little spicy two and a little big potatoes always good. The service all four times has been pretty good, some are more on the salty side which sort of fits the area near the sea but nonetheless they’ve been professional. Definitely check out the happy hour I think it’s worth the price and get there early before it gets too busy.

1st this me there. I rarely give 5 stars for anything. So with that said… 5 stars to my waiter for customer service. Food was good, good portion. Overall = good experience. Yes I will come back. Mostly thanks to waiter Massismo, excellent job putting up with me. I wish there more like him, thank you sir.

The food is decent, price has skyrocketed. Almost $20 for a burger and fries in a very casual environment is sad. They are understaffed with only one waitress and lunch took quite a while for drinks, the food, the bill, etc. for the price will go to a sit down restaurant with better service. This used to be a great bar with good food for a great price. No longer.

The restaurant has amazing pricing and large portions but unfortunately the food is just average. I had the turkey burger which was dry and tasteless but the ribeye sandwich looked decent. I have also had the fish and chips before which are also kinda average and a bit oily. The atmosphere is great and the servers are really friendly and helpful so I'd probably go back once in a while but this is definately not a regular for me.

Awesome Happy Hour Specials! Ribs and Chicken Wings only .75 cents during Happy Hour and Happy Hour drinks all day on Wednesdays. Bacon, Cassandra and Rachel are the best waitresses. They're pretty, funny and provide awesome customer service! You won't be disappointed. **UPDATE** Friday, 06/02/2023, Just stopped by for a Cobb Salad to go but Amber and Kelly were so sweet and nice that we stayed for drinks. Awesome service! Thank you! **Update** 12/21/2023, we stopped for a quick lunch and Kaya our waitress was very nice and friendly. We loved their new Happy Hour Pork Machaca Tacos and their Sausage and Egg Tacos. Their delicious Bloody Marys were only $3.75. This place never disappoints. Thank you.

We are new to the area and stumbled upon this establishment.. Shaun the bartender is amazing and the reason we go frequently. Shaun makes us feel so welcomed and comfortable. He Honestly has the best customer service. He is such a great guy. He treats everyone with kindness and respect. Whether it’s your first time or a regular. The food, music and drinks are great. We are so happy we found our neighborhood bar.

Went here a Friday afternoon to get some "bar" food. I think they were under staffed this evening because the food took an hour to get to the table. Appetizers and main course came at the same time. Girl who served us definitely gets a 5⭐️. 5⭐️ - Chicken wings are delish. Deep fried before covered with thick and smooth sauce. ( BBQ ) 1⭐️ - French Onion soup. Have to say terrible. To fat, a square piece of cheese on top floating on top of the bread and onions. With some chives sprinkled on top. Picture on the menu ( an actually baked French Onion Soup) is the opposite from what is served. We did not even finish 20% of it. 4⭐️ -Fish and Chips. Very good and the fish was delish. French fries with a great crisp and not to greasy. 4⭐️ - BLT . A fresh and nice dish. A good piece of bread with fresh tomato, avocado, lettuce and of course bacon. We had it with Caesar salad, a good and okey CS. All served on paper and plastic plates ( not the soup ) I know we sat outside but paper/plastic plates takes the edge out of everything. Once again, the girl who served us was great and did everything to make us feel welcomed , even if it took so long for the food.
