Absolutely delicious diner food... I was tempted to come twice during my short stay!! Had the stark dip and added mushrooms.... the au jus was delicious, the meat was bountiful, the BREAD WAS SUCH A PLEASANT DELIGHT in my mouth!!! You know how sometimes the bread is so hard and it hurts your gums and you feel like an old person because you can't handle how tough/hard the bread is when you try to bite in???? (No offense to old people, but when I complain about this people question if I'm 80?!?!) This was definitely not the case!!!! And the crinkle cut fries are crunchy/crispy on the sides, but filled with lovely, fluffy, hot, moist potato meat I really wished my experience wouldn't end!!! And the person who took care of me was just the sweetest ever I think her name was RyAnn??? Highly recommend this place with all my taste buds and heart!!

My Father's Place feels like taking a step back in time in the best way. It's open every day from breakfast through the late night, so they serve breakfast all day long (pancakes were DELISH!). I ordered a burger, fries and soup and was not disappointed. The vibes are comfy and nostalgic with leather booths and classic bar lighting. They also have a photo booth and some bar games. I'd recommend this to anyone. The service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Iconic Portland dive bar/restaurant. They serve great comfort food at bargain prices. They're almost always open (7am-2am). My Father's Place opened in 1978 and still run by the same family. But that location has been a bar for over 100 years. My daughter had a Reuben sandwich. The meat tasted very good. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy and O'Brien's (hash browns with peppers and onions). It came with eggs and a biscuit. We ordered a couple pieces of bacon because we heard it was so good. That's a lot of food! Everything tasted great. The bacon was excellent. The bar is a dive bar. The only sweet vermouth they have is Gallo. You won't get a craft cocktail here nor did I expect to. They do have three different types of blood Mary's: cilantro and garlic, bacon infused, and habanero. I opted for the habanero. It was just okay. I'll just order a beer next time. There's street parking only and you have to work to find a spot. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌

Nostalgic, historic (3-area plus bar) type Restaurant & Bar.. Breakfast lunch dinner, late night. Full bar. Pin Ball machines, patio, outdoor seating. Holiday/Christmas lights year round ⛄ Eggs Benedict yum.. get the "O'Briens hashbrowns" (instead of regular) for fresh onion & bell pepper toppings option. Yes: clam chowder is loaded and flavorful! Yes: eggs Benedict Yes: chicken fried scramble- add peanut butter for the pancakes!

Great old school dinner vibes with good music, staff, and food. Was recommended to us as a "hangover spot". Had the Patty melt which was great, needed mayo or some kind of sauce.

Staff was friendly and the food was good along with portion sizes, kid friendly but really set up for adults with a game room if you gamble or play pinball.

I was here for breakfast, so can’t speak for other meals (or what it’s like later on). In the morning, it felt like the sort of place that got lots of regulars, with friendly staff and conversations. I had an omelet, which was very good, but absolutely listen to them when they recommend you get biscuits with breakfast. They were amazing.
