A phenomenal and safe hangout for BIPOC LGBTQ folks (trans welcoming!) and events with queer bartenders. They serve drinks and allow you to bring food in, there is indoor and outdoor seating & smoking allowed outside. (Picture is iced mint mocha latte & sweet potato pie latte!)

EDIT: they have removed the barriers to this doorway and the restroom is now accessible again. Restroom itself is wheelchair accessible but the hallway and lounge area that you have to go through to get to the restroom is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a couch that blocks the doorway to the lounge which leads to the restroom

great drinks, lots of tasty non-alcoholic options, friendly service, cool performers & djs. the bathroom though? GRIMY. the toilet seat was clean, but the sink, top & back of toilet, and every other surface looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. cool that there's condoms and menstrual products, but jesus christ people! grab a rag!

My new favorite evening hang out spot! I'm sure it's great during the day but I've only had the nighttime experience so far. The bartender V is hilarious and sweet. V made two INCREDIBLE special seasonal warm non alcoholic drinks for my wholesome self. A sweet potato something something and a rose maple yummy thing. V's energy made it easy to chat with other people there. Ambiance is great! The lighting is lovely, they have a big screen playing silly things and they have events and music! I went on a night nothing was going on and it was nice and quiet, a great place to talk and connect. They could use more seating but it seems like they do enough events that they need the open space for dancin. There are queer vibes so people let's make this place ours. Had an amazing time at one of their drag show events. Loved the specialty cocktails, hilarious names, the queens of course, and how cozy the vibe was. Definitely will be coming back

I wish i took a photo of my drink but it was so good i couldnt stop myself. Nectar is one of my favorite spots in Oakland and a go to for a good drink and a great vibe after work or on a weekend! Im coming back, im bringing friends, and yall should too
