The best!! I've been going here for years and they are so lovely. Massage therapists are highly skilled and consistently welcoming and kind. Customer service is fantastic - they are the kind of place that errs on the customer's side if there's any question. For example, a few months ago I had an appointment scheduled as a member (meaning I would get a discounted member price). I couldn't make it and wanted to let a friend take the massage instead of me. Not only did Nimbus accommodate my very last-minute request and add my friend to their system (for her first table massage ever!), they also still gave me the member discount when I paid by phone even though my friend (the actual recipient of the massage) is not a member. That is not at all what I would expect but I think it really demonstrates their attitude toward clients - and is totally consistent with all my other experiences with them. Notably- during the pre-vaccine days of the pandemic they worked with me to set up a small massage event outdoors. They aim to be trauma-informed (including on their intake forms) and welcoming to people of all ages/genders/bodies. And it's very easy to schedule online or by phone. Just a really great group of people.

Really great experiences here - they’re very professional and more focused on therapeutic treatment so if you have a pain, they will fix it. The atmosphere is still very relaxing and cozy though, so I get the spa vibes I want. The scheduling is easy and the prices are competitive. There’s a good variety of practitioners/treatments too. I see Pete and Amanda, who are both fantastic!

I am a cancer patient and I did some research a person with Oncology Massage as a specality. I hit the Jackpot when I found Shelley. She is the absolute BEST very sweet and listens and can resolve the issue to getting you back on track. I have never walked out disappointed. I really appreciate her and how she is helping me in this cancer healing journey.

Traveling from out of town. My lower back has been hurting. Shelley was my therapist. One of the best massages I've had. Highly recommend. Also very clean and friendly.

Amanda is amazing. I've had chronic hip pain for some time now and she was able to release so much tension in an hour. She dealt with everything so respectfully and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. So thankful I found this place.

I met Kristina Page around 2005 with friends (I believe it was one of the inimitable Megan Janke's (née Schmidt) friends, though my memory of the group of people is fading) at a lunch. She was so charming and engaging that when she mentioned being the owner of Nimbus Massage, as well as one of a few massage therapists of the business, I had to visit. That and I'd recently strained my back and needed the tension released. They were then located next to Thai Diner Too on West Cary Street. The new residence on Main near the VCU campus is quite a bit more accessible. The therapists working there are all professional and courteous, and know exactly what they are talking about with the muscles they work. I was warned several times by one therapists that working directly on muscles of the back was not safe, but since I had already signed a waver, and had so many (100%, that is) excellent sessions, I insisted. I was already in great pain, and it was one specific bunch of muscles; you could feel the knot. All I needed was for it to stop being tense. He did the work, wished me well, and the next day the knot was gone. These people are just amazing. I will always suggest Nimbus Massage to anyone who complains of muscle pain or soreness, or just mentions they would love a massage.

Paid for a hot stone couples massage, my wifes went flawles but mine was awful didnt get a hot stone 1, and the massage therapist decided she wanted to "target my meridians or something" and told me "if it hurts a lot its working" worst experience i have ever had. Definitely felt like the massage therapist didnt want to work with me due to my body hair and weight.

Appreciate the top notch massage therapists at Nimbus. I found Shelley to be a great fit for my needs, with a combination of strength, skill, confidence, flow and general positive energy. Very complete and well rounded therapeutic experience!
