NEW review: I went to voice my concerns to the owner or manager and he was EXTREMELY nice and fully listened to my concerns, which was highly appreciated. I've always loved this place so I'm happy the owner was so great about handling that situation. Definitely back to 5* for me again. Previous review below: Although the bartender was nice, I was simply trying to sit down and relax. A couple next to me started to chat with me. I politely asked if they were together and if I was intruding in any way (they weren't and I was given permission to talk with them by the female). I was having a pleasant conversation with her and 5 minutes later the guy starts cursing me out in Spanish (I think?) and saying derogatory gay remarks. You'd think this person would've been thrown out immediately right? No, everyone got to see me get berated publicly for no reason. I went to a different table for a bit and then left. No chance I'd ever come back here again. Not safe.

I feel bad leaving 3 Stars, since I have a feeling that this place on a normal day would have been better. I liked the ambience (casual, wind-down-after-a-long-day-vibe) and the Small Plate options they had were pretty good too.. But I was not impressed by the Monkey Shoulder collaboration.. The drinks just tasted like sugary juice Mocktails, and the event was not well organized.. Maybe their regular drinks are good, and I agree that they were just showcasing the Monkey Shoulder drinks for the Event, but I believe the onus of ensuring the Drinks or Food they showcase meets basic expectations falls on the establishment, so..

Nice bar in Montclair, NJ. Has a great ambiance, vary adult feel. Many great cocktails. I’m glad this is not near me, because I’ll be coming here every day. If you are looking for a great place for a date, this is it. I live the big ice cube that is clear in the cocktails.

Went here for a bite and cocktails, we were very happy with it. The cocktails were very good, as was the food. The chips n' dip with trout roe was very good, and the chicken sandwich was very tender. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.

This place has a lot of potential! Great location with a cool interior. In the couple of times I have gone the bartenders don’t seem super welcoming but maybe they were just busy, and the drinks are a bit sweet. If the cocktails were a little more balanced this place would be a win for me!

Very convenient spot for cocktails before attending a show at the Wellmont theater. Never have a meal there just cocktails. 1 Ketal One martini and 1 Hendricks gin and tonic $34 which is a little pricy in my opinion but what isn`t these days..

Loved this bar! Small but wasn't packed nor uncomfortable/too loud to hear my friend. The drinks were good and the service great. I want to go back.

Cool spot with great bartenders. No asinine dress codes, just good vibes and amazing drinks.
