Phoebus Dive Bar

Don't yet know about the food because we've been trying to order something for 10 minutes now. We started with bratwurst. After I had to interrupt the waitress because instead of taking care of us at the bar she's showing someone T-shirts. Anyway we ordered the bratwurst. So we're waiting. She comes to us a while later and says that the only bratwurst that they have right now are cheddar jalapeno. So we cancel that and ordered hot dogs instead. So then they come up to us and said that they're out of hot dogs but they just found bratwurst in the truck making a delivery. So the place is basically an empty tavern. Would not have chosen to eat here but we're starving. Not much on the menu. And even less when they have something and then not have something and then have something and then not have something again.

On certain nights, the double double cheeseburger is the best in Hampton. Some nights it is a bit salty and the patties are too thick. But when it's right, it's RIGHT. Good, cheap drinks. Good DJs on Saturday nights if you like that thing. It's a dive bar, so don't come in here expecting otherwise.

I havnt tried their food yet but this was a nice little spot to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. We walked in Saturday night a couple weeks ago. The DJ was ON! Place is on the smaller side. We had a couple drinks which were very good.... nice bartender. If recommended for sure as a pre-game spot.

They scammed me. Had a 3 dollar beer and a 7 dollar beer that came out to nearly $16 and they asked for a tip. When I questioned it saying hey I'm confused about the math they started saying I was being a problem and surrounded me with security. They then ridiculed me calling me poor and asking why I was so worried about it. Only to later tell me there was a hidden charge after 10pm. Then they acted like they had told me originally, but I looked at 3 other people's receipts and it wasn't there. They only charge this to people who are new to the bar and act like they didn't. What a scam. Come to find out later one of the bartenders did it on purpose because she didn't like me for some erroneous reason. Save your money and time this place smells like vomit and has some very odd bartenders.

When I visited, I was the only customer. Andrew gave great conversation while I enjoyed a pint. Would definitely go back!

Love this place. Food is always on point. Best fried pickles around!!! Drinks are always hitting. My friday/Saturday go to spot. Great local bar.

I got the macaroni and cheese, the loaded fries and the garlic Parmesan chicken. The chicken was disgusting. It looks and taste raw. The mac & cheese needs a little salt and the fries that Macspealz had Is not the same none of the food he had looks like mine very disappointed $35 never again

Felt scammed here. Monday night service and food was great. Stopped by again Tuesday for happy hour and ordered three drinks for my friends. They came out in cans. Didn't think much of it until I found out they served cans because they don't qualify for happy hour. Paid over $20 for the three drinks (after tax). When I asked why I didn't get the happy hour special I just got a shrug and a "that's the way the computer rang it up". It's too bad, I liked the place and wanted to stay for dinner and more drinks. But we left and not going again if I can't trust the staff to not try and rip me off. I see some other reviews saying the same thing.
