Classic spot in the neighborhood and a staple in the DC LGBT community. Lots of college students come here on the weekends. They’ve got a dance floor in the basement, a separate lesbian bar, and two other additional floors with bars and an outdoor terrace area.

This has been my neighborhood since before Covid. Love the bar and the staff. Martin is my go to bartender and he’s the best. They have a great weekly drag show (Thirst Trap Thursdays) and bring in great RuGurls every month! Me and my crew love this place!

Pitchers is a vibrant and inclusive LGBTQ+ bar perfect for a fun night out. The drinks are great, the staff is welcoming. It’s a safe, lively space where everyone can feel at home. Highly recommended!

Miguel, Miguel, & Rhys were beyond sweet and accommodating. I came to the bar by myself but I felt like I was with friends. Not once did I feel like I was alone. My drink was non stop filled and always offered food or other drinks. They made me feel safe as I was leaving as well as I’m visiting by myself. Can’t wait to come back

Came here on my birthday with my sister. While checking my ID, several security staff repeatedly asked me if I had drugs and kept laughing, even though my sister and I were both sober and well-dressed having come from the ballet. I was so shocked I didn’t reply, and they proceeded to point to the envelope with my Kennedy Center tickets and ask “do you have drugs for us? Is there drug money in there?” and laughed some more. I’m not sure if we were racially profiled because we’re visibility Latina, or we entered in the middle of some kind of inside joke, but it left me rattled. They did let us in shortly after and I was able to have a fun night at Aloho next door. The bartenders were friendly so giving an extra star for the drinks, but I plan to avoid Pitchers in the future.

Literally came here 1 time and I was done! Came on a Friday night with my bestfriend (female and male) and were both gay who like checking out gay bars in the city. The bottom bar was busy so we went upstairs, when I went to the upstairs bar I was looked at and purposely ignored. I waited so long for two Heinekens! it’s predominantly white men there, not very diverse (at least that night). After finally getting my drink we left. The service was lousy and I didn’t feel comfortable here, and the music was bland! Definitely go somewhere else if you want a more diverse environment and better music.

A great nightlife venue. Drag show on Thursday was so much fun, talented and gorgeous looking queens. Definitely a must stop in DC . Bartenders were friendly. I believe it’s cash only though!

I always have the best time here- the music, fashion, and people are great through and through. If I want to have a surefire fun night out- this is my spot! The bar near the dance floor tends to get really busy, but I never have issues getting a drink in a timely manner. They add automatic gratuity here and the bartenders deserve it- they're always hustling.
